I bet I could.

It would require quarians going to earth for some reason, which is super unlikely.

Or Shepard being in space as a kid. Which I guess would work--the game is very ambiguous about what happened in Earthborn shep's childhood.

Appreciated, but NuclearBuddha is correct; it's just not "Interview appropriate."

In fairness, Khalisah bint Al-Jilani might ambush Shep in a bar for an interview, but Emily Wong probably has a classy studio.

Also a good point.  Though, I'm not crazy about doing something in a studio. I'd much rather have something in a "natural" area.

On of those "porch" interviews that are supposed to be all homey and crap?

Nah, that's a little too sappy.  I dunno, I'm open to suggestions!

Dammit! Earthborn Sheps get all the nice fluffy reasons to love Tali.

Colonists? Nothing.

Hey, I wrote that cool little minific about Shep seeing Tali's mom when he was 7 years old.

Can't really write an equivalent for Earthborn. :(

Wish to read. In blog?

Not as weird as talking about Tali in your sleep very loudly so that everyone in my house can hear me talk about how much I love her and all of the dirty things I want to do to her.

Took some explaining I can tell you...

We've talked a lot about origins, but what about backgrounds? Seems to me Sole survivors got it easy there, since by their nature they'd be looking for a new team to cling to. But Ruthless types? Yikes.

It wouldn't involve Tali directly, but I could make it work.

It's just a little minific I whipped up one day, I'll dig it up:

------------

--On the human colony of Mindoir, many years ago--

Pregnant Quarian: I can't thank you enough for giving me this shuttle to return to the Fleet. I still can't believe my escape pod got so separated from them during that pirate attack.

Human Woman: Hey, I had to help. I know what it's like to be an expecting mother. *She smiles, and proudly looks down at her seven year old son*

Young boy: Are you going to a space ship? Out there? *Points at the sky*

Pregnant Quarian: Yes child, I'm going to the ship my husband is stationed on. It's called the Rayya.

Human Woman: Good luck, and congratulations again on your upcoming daughter.

Pregnant Quarian: Thank you once more, Miss Shepard. Keelah Se'lai.

*The Pregnant Quarian gets on the shuttle and leaves. The human woman and her seven year old son precede to go back into their home*

I thought about writing a followup minific to that, in which they visit during the period of time between the attack on the colony, and Shepard getting picked up by the Alliance scouts; so he'd be by himself as a 16 year old. Tali would be 9 years old during it, and I guess in some kind of temporary child-suit.

Although it's pretty unlikely quarians would take their kids out of the Flotilla for any reason.

Actually, I like the ruthless types, you just have to be creative about it.

They've seen some ****, willing to do the horrible things they have to in order to get the job done and secure humanity's rights to colonize the traverse. They're cold and detatched, but utterly alone because of it. So when they meet Tali, they meet someone who is more altruistic and compassionate. It's like a healing damaged good scenario.

Totally got this awesome mental picture of a grown man letting loose a war-cry as he charges a spider with an 8 inch knife.
