I'm going to have to agree. I admire the attempt to go for something a bit more alien, but in the end, to me, it just looks like a human with weird ears, forehead nostrils, and a bunch of makeup plastered on. It doesn't have the consistency, for instance, of the drell, turian, or asari designs.

Just my opinion, though, and in many other ways it's a good picture. And besides, it's fan art, so perhaps my standards are too high. It's a lot better than most quarian unmasked pictures I've seen.

Was really my point. It's better than most (in my case, all) of the ones I've seen. I haven't seen a single one that hasn't been recolored humans with minimal changes.
