Unfortunately, no. They come off as the archetypal mustache twirling villains for me. Announcing their dastardly plans while boastfully singing their superiority over the protagonists.

I see them more as the inevitable entropy that all existance fears, but refuses to acknowledge.

Shepard is a beacon of hope and righteousness against the ultimate evil in existance. With Tali at his side, he can accomplish anything.

How does that not get you going?

In regard to your previous question, the topic has come up pretty often. And yes, I felt very appreciated when Tali greeted my first Shepard with such obvious relief and happiness - both on Freedom's Progress and Haestrom.

Now this is probably waaaay old but out of all the ME1 cameos... is it just me or does Tali actally give two credits that Shepard actually died and is genuinely glad to see him/her alive?

No topic about Tali is ever old. There are 'classics' but none are 'old'.

And, yes, Tali does seem to be one of the most broken up about your death. Most people (outside of Liara who actually hunts down your body) eventually move on. Now, that's not to say they were not saddened and I'm sure they were, but Tali seems to have never really been able to shake off that grief.

If I weren't so  tired and thinking more clearly, I'd go into further discussion.

Someone with a clearer head take over for me.

On a more serious note, I like the Reapers well enough. I was kind of okay with them in ME1, but for some reason, ME2 really got me much more into them. Maybe it's the implications behind the Collectors, maybe it's the fact that we sort of know what they're actually up to now, or maybe it's just the fact that Harbinger is so amusingly hammy. In the end, their quasi-god-like image is kind of refreshing in a villain, to tell the truth, as is their just purely overwhelming power.

Generally, I prefer a little more subtlety in my villains, but for some reason the Reapers just tickle me. Though I do think they're agents, like Saren, tend to be pretty fascinating as well. Given the hints dropped in Ascension regarding the quarians and the Reapers and what we see during Tali's loyalty mission, I'm half-expecting that Xen, leading a rogue faction of quarians, will end up filling Saren's role in ME2.

How ironic that would be.
