Poll for favorite LI is getting uncomfortably close. If you have not voted, please vote for Tali.
Done my part several hours ago.

Hey, shut up. I don't want to like MirandaArchonsg wrote...
Think of it this way. She was used by TIM and by extention Cerberus because of her sister's / Father's situation. Listen to what she tells you when she speaks of Cerberus, of TIM and of what she percieves they have done for her and her sister.
Until you came along and proved that you didn't care if she was of "use" (how ironic is that?!) and helped her anyways to rescue her sister.
She began to see things not just from the perspective that she always had, that Cerberus was the end all, be all for humanity. She must have at some point come to realise that Cerberus and in particular TIM was using her just as her father would.
There is loyalty borne of trust, then there is just blind loyalty. She had the latter, Shepard gave her the option of the former.[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie] but really, it's a combination of her annoying badgering "I'm 2nd in command" bs and the fact she is rather dumb in the game, I could probably make a rather long list of how many times she's wrong in the game.
Shepard: "Did Niket know you kidnapped your father's daughter?"
Miranda: "No, he just found out about that recently, I guess I never thought of it that way"
Shepard: DERP!
Nah, she's not so bad.
At least her character had personality. Wished I could say the same for Liarra in ME1. I was like "ummm... I am suppose to romance *that?!* Come on....gimme something to work with here other then a face that looks just out of puberty.
No offense to the Liarra fans.
Though as I mentioned earlier, tentables above, means tentacles below , all of which equates to a gripping experience.
Oh yeah, no doubt. I dislike her but I like her character, it's difficult to explain. Basically I love TO hate her, much like Ashley. I saved Ashley because she brings more drama to the table. If I kill off every squaddie I don't like, then ME3 will be considerably lacking in the drama (and fun) department.
And Liara having tentacles down there wth
Even if she didn't have "feelers" down there, The very back of their head is like...if you put your finger there...
THINK HAPPY THOUGHTS!

Much better

Don't get me wrong, I'm not advocating killing her off. I just have two levels of trust. There's one group that I would gladly put my life in their hands no matter what, and another that I would prefer to be able to kick off my team for ME3. I wouldn't kill them or anything, but everyone is expendable really, I don't want someone who will put the Alliance's goals over mine, or someone who would idiotically try and kill me for making renegade decisions.
With Miranda, Cerberus has done way more for her than I've ever done for her. How can I be sure that she won't find something new to be loyal to at a later date?
Also of note, she doesn't quit Cerberus because of what they did. She was with them for all of their horrible experiments and acts. The period from the start of ME2 until the end of it, Cerberus is pretty damn heroic. And that's when she decides to betray them.
is difficult to say, cerberus works in closed cells so there is not much info going on, we cant really know what Miri knows, i'm a bit sceptical too for some things, but for how the organization is build it is pretty possible that Miranda dont know the bad things cerberus did or knows only the "version" that TIM gave her.
TIM is pretty ruthless and going to do anything "necessary" for the greater good i suppose lies to his men to secure their loyalty are quite common... it will be interesting to know the story about him (didnt read the books) i will be not surprised if he turns to be a sort of GoTo from kotor2
I'm sure she doesn't know as much as TIM, and that her hands aren't nearly as dirty, but thinking that she was completely oblivious is naive. You don't become the second in command of an organization like Cerberus without earning the complete trust of the boss. And with trust comes knowledge. I'm sure TIM can't handle everything himself, and Miranda would be the first person he could turn to.
As far as TIM, I don't expect nearly as bad of a guy as everyone else. I think he'll be pretty helpful against the reapers. Whether he turns on you later or not, who knows, but I can't see the council being more helpful than him

Actually considering that She was there in *person* speaking to TIM says just how high she is in the chain of command and just how much *control*, key word here is control, TIM thinks he has on her. Her sister / Father and her own issues with being bio-engineered can be and was exploited by TIM.
In ME3, I fully expect TIM to turn on the screws on Miranda by holding her sister hostage. Depending on your relationship with her, whether you have been a paragon / renegade and if you had romanced her, I fully expect her to betray you or maybe turn to you for help.
Will be interesting. Unless of course you killed her off.

The Normandy is one thing, but don't they pretty much have to find a way to replicate the reaper IFF if they want to accomplish anything? You saw the obstacles that the Normandy faced. If one crappy pilot hits an asteroid while heading to the collector base (assuming you saved it,) then what? You're stuck.
I just don't see many options for TIM other than sit back and root for you to win. Can you save the galaxy without the Normandy? Would TIM take that chance?

Yeah, there's no way he'll do that. TIM isn't the type to just devote resources for petty revenge. But he is going to want the Normandy back, specifically EDI.

Cerberus won't hire crappy pilots.
And it really wasn't that bad on the other side. Just some initial debris dodging.
I am pretty sure he's going to try and get the Normandy--specifically EDI--back.

Youtube suggestions? I musta missed that. Glad you're calm again, Captain.
I've enjoyed reading these last few pages. You guys realize I'm now going to require up to 12 imports for ME3 based on all this information you're throwing at me.
Miranda may betray you in ME3?
TIM hunting the Normandy down?
Yeah I'm going to have to have more playthroughs..for varieties sake.
Now I must go fishing, let's go Tali:
