So last night we decided that those "lines" on her mask are actually scanlines, and her mask is actually a transparent video device.

Which led to us concluding that her eyes glow because they're reflecting back subtle light from the mask's video display. 

It's basically a fact*

Serious or not seems like an interesting debate. I would still stick with the fact her eyes glow, if the HUD screen of her visor was really that bright then Quarian's eye sight wouldnt last very long...

I'd vote yes, but I dont want a copy of a human face onto an aliens. Just doesnt seem right. If they did, id request they massively change her appearance.

I don't think they should just "digitally copy" it, like they did with Miranda, but I do expect that they'll use Liz's face for reference, and the end result will bear some resemblance. Kinda like with Joker and TIM.

I don't know, I stare at a bright monitor (two of them in fact!) for like a hundred hours a day, and my eyes are fine!

Well, except for my myopia, but that appears to be hereditary. My sisters got it too.

Well, does it reflect the light of the computer screens that brightly,  to the point they glow like all Quarians? The amount of light it would take to make sombodies eyes glow that brightly would take a rediculous amount of light. And the fact that it isnt pitch black inside the helmet due to all the light eliminates the "deer in the headlights" stare animals eyes can give off.

I read once that the artist behind that used the placeholder model as a reference for the dimensions and all that.

Yes, this is exactly what I meant. Obviously they can't copy her face exactly because Tali's not human.

But if they used it as reference and then quarian-ized it - I know it's not a word but I'm keeping it  - I'd like it.

It would have to be incredibly reflective in order to show the amount of light that shows in the visor, so far to the point that they wouldnt actually be able to see(unless their eyes arent working liek the humans reflection back into the brain to be interpreted) and for there to be this great of a reflection it would mean the light would have to be very minimal in order to show such a great amount of reflectivity.

The added bonus for this theory is that they would pounce unerringly in low light conditions.

Really?  I could have sworn that I saw the picture and the placeholder side by side, as evidence of it being the base, but this was a while ago, so I could easily be remembering wrong.
