The only remotely feasible way for Tali/Shep to have a kid is if you got Tali's DNA, and mixed it up with artificially created "quarian version" of Shepard's DNA, that mimics his traits. Anything that can't be "translated" will just use Tali's DNA.

Even then it's not really a Tali/Shep kid. It'd be a Tali clone with traits that mimic Shepard's.

This is currently the future and at the moment scientists have manipulated human DNA structure into that of which it has not been before. It hasnt been replicable via test tube baby, for ethical and other reasons, but I imagine by this period of time they could manage to augment Shepards genetic material to be able to fit Talis.Image IPB

No, it just can't happen. You can't mix DNA of opposite chirality. It's biologically impossible.

It's like... trying to fit a tetris "L-piece" into a space meant for a "reverse L-piece." It just isn't compatible, no matter how much you flip it around.

Impossible to tell.  Ethics are nebulous.  What is ethical today has no bearing at all on 200 years in the future of a fictional universe.  Ethics are the least of the problems.

Again: Tali's 24 years old. I doubt that she wants to have kids that early.

Yeah. Let's leave this.
Kid: Is you one of the sith? My daddy says they aint nothing but bullies.
You see my point.

You always manage to bring up kids in KoTOR, one way or another.
One way or another...

To be fair, this hasn't actually been a discussion in over a month.  Unless I missed a giant discussion or two on it :?

It always gets eyerolled and buried whenever it gets brought up usually.

Yeah, but when none of the facts have changed, it makes no difference on how frequent we have the discussion because it's the same damn thing every time.

To each their own, if people want to have it I won't stop em, I just won't take part ;)

How on earth am I suppose to have any idea what you're trying to communicate? :P

Yeah, I don't have near the scientific expertise, so the whole discussion usually ends up going over my head.  I still prefer this to the random spamming that usually plagues this time of day though :?

Correct. We share 96% of DNA with Chimpanzees, but we can't breed with them. We likely share 1-2% of DNA with Quarians.

Maybe it is I dont fully understand "Chirality", but I know for a fact we are currently messing with DNA structures to the point of break down ang bringing them back from the dead so  to speak... If they couldnt change the genetic composition such as "Chirality", but able to repurpose genetic material to enhance the human of a specific part id be very suprised... Ill go look up "Chirality" as to further understand so I dont speak out of my ass about it.Image IPB

Also they are different species, even if the chirality was the same still impossible.
