Yes. You will cry bitter, womanly tears at the tragedy, hardship, and triumph.
Edit: Getting kinda choked up just thinking about it.

Y'know what would suck? If Shepard gave his/her life to defend the galaxy. I can see it happening, but I won't be able to see Tali anymore.
Nope. Happy ending or I shut the whole thing down.
I may not like it...but the pessimist in me says this will happen.

I don't see it. There is no motivation for a sad ending. It just doesn't usually fit video games or trilogies that well, and this is no exception. Everyone is personally attached to Shepard, we don't want him to die. Only other reason would be an extremely lazy way to add emotion to the game, and Bioware is better than that.
Plus, why destroy the ability to make money on DLC and expansions?

This reminds me of one of cannedcream's fics. It took my soul, chewed on it for a few minutes, then put it in a blender, poured the bits on the street, ran them over with an SUV, picked up the pieces, and finally launched them into the sun.Alphyn wrote...

I love Homeworld. Man, I wish they'd make a third one.

Also Relic has reaquired the right to the franchise, as of 2007.

I really hope they don't do this. They've already done the "Shep dies" thing, and several other high-profile games have ended with the death of the protagonist.Lividity Jones wrote...

Nope. Happy ending or I shut the whole thing down.
I also hope that they don't have such an ending so they can sell more DLC.
Edit: It's also tough to build a home on Rannoch when you're dead, so Shep will probably avoid that.

Usually, in a good story, the protaginist dies to drive a point home. If Shepard dies at the end of ME3, the only point that will be driven home is my controller through my television.NuclearBuddha wrote...
