Y'know what would suck? If Shepard gave his/her life to defend the galaxy. I can see it happening, but I won't be able to see Tali anymore. :(

i think that will be one of the endings this one is if you didnt do everything kinda like in ME2 if you dont prepare then you die
but if you do do everything and stuff then you live and have a happy ending with your LI

I don't know man... you never know. I mean, Shepard is the saviour of the galaxy, and the Reapers are the biggest threat of all existence.

Things aren't looking good, if you ask me. :?

I don't want Shepard to die, but the wind is blowing that way.

You know what I think?  I think you're just jerking with us, here.  I think you're fishing for some screams or something.

I don't see it.  There is no motivation for a sad ending.  It just doesn't usually fit video games or trilogies that well, and this is no exception.  Everyone is personally attached to Shepard, we don't want him to die.  Only other reason would be an extremely lazy way to add emotion to the game, and Bioware is better than that.

Plus, why destroy the ability to make money on DLC and expansions?

The wind is blowing toward... hold on a sec *puts on fire-suit and picks up riot shield*...the wind is blowing toward most of the team dying.

What is Bioware's motivation for making an incredibly cliche ending that everyone will hate?  The hero dies saving the galaxy is a lazy way to add emotion, or drive home a tragic story line.  Neither apply here.

There will be chillaxing with Tali on Rannoch B)

In ME3 there's going to be a scene in which Harbinger attempts to assume direct control of Shepard via his reaper-based cybernetic implants, but Shepard will fight it. Then he'll look at Tali, and it'll give him the will power to resist!

What?

No, goddammit! Shepard and Tali deserve a happy ending.

The war to end all wars will end with Shepard putting down his rifle and finally going home. His real home. The one he and Tali will build.

No, because Star Wars would've sucked if Luke died at the end.

So there.

BS, it's not only BW we're talking about, it's EA and they would rip BWs a** off if they can't sell any DLC after ME3 'cause of a dead maincharacter.

That's right up there with Shep getting shot, falling over, and then standing back up, unharmed.

You can have an emotional ending without resorting to "hurr grim dark sad".

I'll be plenty angry if we are forced to have to sacrifice ourselves or LI with no other options (based on previous choices in ME 1, 2 & 3).

Nope. Happy ending or I shut the whole thing down.

I may not like it...but the pessimist in me says this will happen.

Nope! Happy ending!

LalalalalalalalalalalaIcan'thearyoulalalalalalalalalalala!!!

Denial is a wondeful thing

I CAN'T HEAR YOU!

Lalalalalalalalalalala!!!

Hmmmm, okay how about this scenario
Shepard turns out to be secretly an agent for the Reapers and sabotages the defence of the Milky Way
Tali then dies and he realizes he really loved her
He then goes on to defeat the Reapers but he dies by blowing up that star and taking the Repaers with him
But then it turns out Tali survived and she gets all sad at Shepard's death
Then Kal'Reegar or Garrus comes along and bangs her for the rest of their lives
Then the story ends........feel better?

Homeworld
Homeworld Cataclysm and
Homeworld 2

Of the three, HW1 has more emotional impact.  Cataclysm is kinda the weaksauce sibling.  And HW2 has the best villain.

That was the most idiotic ending imaginable.

I have read better Alternate Universe fics than that.

Wow...
