What part of casting aside the shackles of her life and being with the one person that she truly loves doesn't justify Shepard?  Caring for her and denying her that opportunity is worse than not caring for her at all.

And Mordin doesn't have a sex drive, he isn't qualified to speak on the subject

Dragon Age didn't have that problem with their romances. Both parties involved fully understood each other's emotions.

It's not quite Shepard's feelings, it's your feelings. Ideally you wouldn't really follow up a romance unless you actually do like the character. Tali is the one confessing her love, Shepard [you] can either accpet her or not.

I adore Tali. The build-up for the romance and execution was brilliant.
