Speaking of characters I DO want in ME3 without doubt: Legion.
I LIKE that guy (those guys?).
Legion MUST be in ME3. BioWare moved him from a sidemission to the Reaper IFF, because they wanted him to be a part of the main story.
I just wish they'd moved him to some earlier mission.
And Tali. Why couldn't I recruit her from the beginning again? Oh, because TIM said so. Ok.

I can't see how the collector base being spared is a penalty, to be honest, blowing it up is one of those "Moronic Paragon" decisions while keeping it is "Tactical Renegade".
Yes, I have several levels of Paragon, Neutral and Renegade, here they are in list form in case you were wondering:
-Moronic Paragon: Blowing up Collector Base, pissing Tali off (in ME1 by saying the Quarians deserved their fate, in ME2 by saying that she should just give up hope on getting Rannoch back), etc.
-Heroic/nice Paragon: Most other decisions, telling C-sec to back off from Lia, etc.
-Boring Neutral: Most decisions
-Thoughtful/nice Neutral: Accepting Tali, telling her you're willing to wait as long as it takes (rather than "Captain's orders")
-Logical Neutral: Focussing on Sovereign
-Tactical Renegade: Taking the easy way out, necessary evil, most decisions
-Evil, baby orphan kicking, Renegade: Telling Garrus to **** off, treating Tali like some filthy alien, giving the evidence from the Alarei
Also, I suspect that Tali will be alive by default, Bioware will need a reason to devote so much development time on her in ME3. (C'mon, they're obvious Talimancers, and they've put a hell of a lot of work in Tali's character, no way they're just gonna throw that away)

Well Tali wasn't SO bad, you just had to do what was it like 4-5 missions to open up horizon and the second half of the game you could use Tali.

Yeah, but I would like to have her with me when I recruit Mordin or Garrus.
But they overdid it with Legion. Three missions without sacrificing anyone? Come on.

I should have phrased it differently. I didn't mean that all those choices should be penalized as such , heck they probably aren't from a plot-perspective. I just picked those as plausible choices made by a default shepard, as default shepard is a mix of tactical renegade (as you so nicely put it) and outright stupid.
I also think that the most plausible default survivors would be Miranda+ one, maybe two more.

i agree, Legion is an interesting and kinda funny char, sad to not meet him earlier, but also he is an op char, widow+drone+shield is a pretty good combo, maybe they did that to "balance" his power

I'd say no, simply because I find it hard to imagine any nails on those toes. (Protrusive nails don't quite fit the structure, and platess don't seem to fit either)

there should be more squadie dialog too during the game and on the ship
Also whouldnt it be nice to have the characters move around on the ship they always stay in the same place i just want to see eveyones daily routine
