There's a 2-mile race among the Normandy crew members:

The top three winners:

1. Garrus
2. Shepard
3. Tali

Please explain your reasoning.

Well, Turians have that predator thing going for them, so I suspect they're good runners.

Shepard comes in second because he's Shepard. I can see Tali maybe being ahead of him for a bit thanks to dem legs, but Shepard will have superior endurance (partly thanks to his much greater lung capacity, tali's torso is tiny!)

I think Legion would kick all their asses.

Is two miles really long enough for that to matter?

That is fari reasoning.  I would've switched Tali and Shep, because her legs are longer.  However, you make a good point about lung capacity.  Quarians may not be endurance-evolved.

It's a good thing that the biotic god isn't part of the Normandy crew.
Other wise he'd just pull quickly into 1st place, like a great wind.B)

I've PLAYED ME2... Shepard can't run for more than 15 ft.

I had reach, but she had flexibility.

I'd say Legion, just for the hell of it.

I would think so, he would beable to maintain max speed the whole way, That is ofcourse only matters if his max speed is greater than Shepards/ Tali/Garrus to begin with.

Ignoring Shepard's uncanny ability to only be able to sprint 100 feet at a time, maybe not.

I know it's popular to imagine machines as being superior to organics with things like that, but I don't expect Legion to achieve a very high speed of running.

He's not like a car with spinning wheels--the most efficient form of locomotion (that has friction as a factor anyway). His legs operate like the legs of an organic, which is a relatively "inefficient" way of moving, at least compared to something like a wheel.

Yeah, it was from one of their conversations. Oddly enough, there wasn't any light from Legion's head in the original, either. I just assumed he was looking slightly to the left (probably avoiding "eye" contact).

I would like to see Legion transform into a car. It would make good use of those flame decals we discussed before.

Yeah but you gotta factor in he's got like 200lbs of gear on.

Well, I guess that doesn't expect his "casual clothes" running, but realistically I imagine he can run for a while. :P

FemShep has also mastered the ability of sprinting in high heels. That counts for something.

But two miles? The runner would have to be in top shape and able to run at a constant speed the entire time. My votes still on Legion.

You don't need long legs to run fast, i know a guy who's 1.75m tall and has very short legs but he runs like a ****in torpedo

I'm not convinced about the lung capacity factor. Scientifically speaking we don't know how efficient (or not) the Quarian lung system is, nor the exact proportions of their lungs vs. their body size nor how effective their muscle structure is, etc. Comparing Tali's presumed lung capacity based on the size of her torso to that of Shepard is akin to stating that human females are likely to be less intelligent than human males because human males tend to have larger brains due to being larger in size. However, as reality can attest to, there are women that are very intelligent and in a good number of cases at least as intelligent, if not more so, than a number of their male counterparts. And that's comparing between members of the same species, nevermind comparing it to an alien species. Just saying.
