Ok, google has let me down, but Yall know hwo the Centapede has a segmented body correct? Well the basic, most efficient high terrain travelable design is based on it and each segment has two wheel on each part, each segment being able to move up to 90% or so of each other allowing for complete drop offs and still keeping traction. It was a big thought when the military was trying to design an all purpose vehicle, but with todays tech it was far too expensive and would require a lot of research to make it able to carry the amount of weight they required.
If it's a six wheeled remote controlled vehicled referred to as "the mule" IIRC, then I saw it on the TV show "Future Weapons" with that bald-headed ex-Navy Seal fellow. It was able to scale 90 degree walls and carry a payload far heavier than a human would be able to over rough terrain, say like the terrain faced in parts of Afghanistan. It wasn't a speedy devil however.

If you put

Kaidan: Shepard! How could you betray our cause!
Shepard: Kaidan, you know me. You know I would only work with Cerberus for the right reason.
Kaidan: No, I'm talking about your relationship with that... Alien.
Tali: What did you say?!

So it could depend on the terrain of Rannoch then. I have not seen to much on any prior wars with them involved besides the geth.MrBoomba wrote...

Quarians use to drive large bipedal tanks in battle. After they were exiled, they had to be salvaged for resources.
That's just speculation, but come on, there's no way quarians didn't dabble with the concept.
It goes seem like something Quarians would do, but it seems biped travel units are rather inefficeint compared to others such as multi-link treads or the sextuple linked wheel system.
Hm. Possibly, yet the advantages of appendages/limbs over wheels, etc. is the ability to navigate difficult terrain....In which case more insect-like design structures (ex. spider-like) might be even more proficient at such tasks.
Yes, quad support system isnt as reliable with current tech, but with Quarians tech lets assume it is possible... I would be very sure they would have chosen to use it over biped, even though it has a higher production/research cost it greatly outwieghs the biped mobility, even though it cannot theoretically travel at as great of speed, it can travel much rougher terrain.

Bah. What does it matter? We have a very extensive OP and the thread seems to be functioning just fine. If someone desparately wants to add something to the OP then it may be a problem.

I wasnt referring to the mule, but yes this is one example... There was another that had treads of which had a total of 3(on each side if I remember correctly) I was supposed to be a massive thing, which I think they were modeling after the NASA mobile launch pad.

This is true, it would be nice to know of how Rannoch terrain actually is in order to speculate further on what their transportation/military vehicles used as transportation.
