Well that's the whole problem with the speculation, we have no idea how much bacteria quarians have in relation to humans.  I'm assuming its a relatively similar amount, but that's no more likely than none at all, so who knows.

The fact is if Quarians had any bacterial growth in their mouth it would be vastly different than that of a humans due to the Chirality or however you spell it if what we came to as conclusion as of last night (the saliva having some forms of the dextro acid in it) which would make the bacteria needing to ahve different accesses to food type as well.
Meaning the Quarians woulc be suceptable to the Humans strain of bacteria in their mouth.

We can speculate that the nutrient paste is sterile enough that they don't have to worry about bacteria in their mouths (much), still can get food stuck in your teeth and you have to floss/brush (whenever they eat solids, also sterile) Like we've discussed, they're a very clean species overall, probably don't even have body odor.

I have trouble beleiving a species could go without some form of body oder... This is speculation based off how the human system works seeing as most all aliens have the same basic functions. The body oder a human gives off is created in two parts, one by the homones we create when we are turned on and others by just being sweaty/dirty created by the other elements.
