Wrex may come back as well. He seems pretty entrenchenched in Urdnot, but if he gets betrayed, he could come back to you. 5 squadmates isn't much, but its enough to play a nice dry, boring game.
But I definitely agree that the ME2 team will be back. 97% sure is my current estimate
I HIGHLY doubt that. I think everyone will have survived in default ME3. You'll just have taken the easiest path to gain loyalty.
Tali will be exiled, Grunt will have only survived the Thresher, not killed it, Sidonis will be dead, Thane's son will be in prison, ect.
I really like that idea. It really does make the most sense for a default game. All dead wouldn't work, and all good goes against the precedent.

Han seems to understand that he needs to keep his mouth shut. He even has personal reason to, considering that if the evidence is revealed at the trial it fractures the Flotilla.Azint wrote...

But if Shep tells Han'Gerrel "off the record" all she says about it is "you can never tell anyone, Han." It seemed like it was okay with her.

So what you're saying is Shepard becomes Saren?
Sounds like he's more than halfway there, what with the cybernetics, the rachni army, the geth...
Umm..ever heard of spoiler alert?

Clearly, because it is convincing enough, it is convincing enough. The question is whether they really are able to do it.If Shep/Legion could make a convincing enough case, I could see them believing them.
But it is the word of someone who is less likely to be using the Quarians for personal gain. She is not an outsider. She can tip the scales. She has a vested interest in reclaiming the homeworld because she is quarian and would benefit from doing so. Shepard and Legion would not benefit, they don't need the homeworld to live comfortably.Getting back to Tali's involvement though, if they are close enough to believing it that her word puts them over the top, doesn't that mean that they were pretty close to believing them in the first place? Tali's word is nice, but its hardly a be all, end all endorsement.

It seems one very stupid man unleashed the OP of the Tali thread. It's also known as an area called "The Great Rift." We believe it was some kind of superweapon used to thwart an oncoming Reaper.

Yeah I agree there, the 11/12 we have now is way too many. And it will only get more cluttered in ME3. I just mean that it will make the story dryer. Since I expect each character to have some bearing on the events of the game.
I suspect some squadmates will not transfer.
Samara seems likely, she tells Shepard she will leave when the mission is over and come for him if he needs her.
I can see Samara arriving with an army of Justicars in the final battle. That would be sweet.
Or... coming to kill you if you were a renegade...
Hmmmm...
I look forward to seeing what Bioware does...

Well, the only reason I reference loyalty is because it helps keep characters alive. Tali, for example, is highly fragile even with loyalty.RiptideX1090 wrote...
They may not even need to tbe loyal. They could simply have survived. I bet loyalty wont even factor into the next game anyway, because if you don't have it at the end of 2, there won't be a way to get it in 3, they don't have enough room to have character based loyalty missions AND focus on the end of the trilogy.
For example, Legion's quest may never have been completed, and Tali might be exiled, and those will transfer, but not whether one is loyal or not.

The only characters I ever really used in ME1 were Wrex, Tali, and Garrus. If the option were more available, I would really be using Tali, Garrus and Legion, really.DrathanGervaise wrote...

If you really can't imagine that happening, I'm just not even going to keep discussing this.
All I'm saying is that we don't know these things for certain. Aside from in the Flotilla, Tali is not recognized by anyone.

I understand that. But in terms of what gets transfered into 3, Loyaly probably wont' transfer, only the decisions you made. It would be like ME1, all characters are "loyal" and it won't change.
Now... some characters might still turn on you. How cruel would it be if you could choose to help Xen against the geth, and Legion turns on you, or help the Geth stop Xen, with Tali turning on you?
Oh the possibilities...
