They may not even need to tbe loyal. They could simply have survived. I bet loyalty wont even factor into the next game anyway, because if you don't have it at the end of 2, there won't be a way to get it in 3, they don't have enough room to have character based loyalty missions AND focus on the end of the trilogy.

For example, Legion's quest may never have been completed, and Tali might be exiled, and those will transfer, but not whether one is loyal or not.

Well, the only reason I reference loyalty is because it helps keep characters alive.  Tali, for example, is highly fragile even with loyalty.

I understand that. But in terms of what gets transfered into 3, Loyaly probably wont' transfer, only the decisions you made. It would be like ME1, all characters are "loyal" and it won't change.

Now... some characters might still turn on you. How cruel would it be if you could choose to help Xen against the geth, and Legion turns on you, or help the Geth stop Xen, with Tali turning on you?

Oh the possibilities...

Well, I guess I'd just have to be popping some head into Legion's flashlight cranium, then.

I wonder how Tali's exile or exoneration will factor into ME3. It kind of disturbs me that exoneration could mean she's an admiral and would not have time for Shepard or the romance. In that case I'd have to import an exile playthrough. Logically the exile/exoneration thing will come into play somehow in ME3, the questions is how and how much.

So what you're saying is Shepard becomes Saren?

Sounds like he's more than halfway there, what with the cybernetics, the rachni army, the geth...

Umm..ever heard of spoiler alert?

What spoilers am I posting?

Joke at cannedcream. It's obviously canon :P

Oh. Sarcasum does not always travel well over the internets. ^_^

I'll tell you what though, if BioWare does anything even close to what I just thought up I will crap my pants.

. . .or let me voice act a character.

Either is good. B)

If Shep/Legion could make a convincing enough case, I could see them believing them.

Clearly, because it is convincing enough, it is convincing enough. The question is whether they really are able to do it.

Getting back to Tali's involvement though, if they are close enough to believing it that her word puts them over the top, doesn't that mean that they were pretty close to believing them in the first place?  Tali's word is nice, but its hardly a be all, end all endorsement.

But it is the word of someone who is less likely to be using the Quarians for personal gain. She is not an outsider. She can tip the scales. She has a vested interest in reclaiming the homeworld because she is quarian and would benefit from doing so. Shepard and Legion would not benefit, they don't need the homeworld to live comfortably.

How does Shepard gain from getting the quarians back on the homeworld?  They may be able to add some support in the upcoming battle against the reapers, but they aren't in a very good position to help.  If I was Shep, I would try to make it very clear that my only intention was to help the quarians (which would be true in my case.)  I wouldn't exactly add in that I expected militaristic support in my pitch to the council.

If anything, Shepard's opinion should hold more weight, because he isn't vested in the decision.  He could just as easily not worry about the quarians at all, and not try and convince them, it doesn't affect him.  The fact that he's going through the trouble should prove something.

The only way I can see them not listening is if they expect that Shepard is trying to lead them into a trap, or that Legion is lying to him and convinced him of something that isn't true.  I can't really see the former happening, what motivation would Shep have?  And as far as the latter, if they believed that was true, why would Tali's opinion change anything when she was just as succeptible to the lies?

Well, if her Pilgrimage subplot for ME1 is any indication, it'll be an extra line of dialogue.

Really, if she is exiled, she even points out it's not exactly the end of the world for her.

That's if you don't persuade one group one way or the other. And it's why I'm hoping have both Tali and Legion alive will factor in some how, like how keeping Veetor and Kal alive helped you exonerate Tali without persuasion.

I really can't see Tali leaving Shepard for any reason by this point, not even to join the board. I mean, when she talks about it that one time, she does not seem to admit about joining, now she might after the Reapers are defeated, but until that happens, I highly doubt Tali would leave Shepard's side.

. . .I hope. :(

Sure.  I fully expect to bust out the blue text on the warring parties and have them sitting down to lunch in short order.

Sergio, you're overreacting.

All I'm saying is that we don't know these things for certain. Aside from in the Flotilla, Tali is not recognized by anyone.

I'm not overreacting--in fact, the purpose of that statement was to reveal that I intend to underreact. I have very little patience for debating/arguing. :P

Anyway, I don't expect most people to know who Tali is, like they would Shepard. Just like most people wouldn't be able to name any astronauts beyond Neil Armstrong.

But to anyone educated on the subject of the Battle of the Citadel, they will recognize the name Tali'Zorah. The name would be documented, and I'm positive there would be a "Space Wikipedia" article on her.

For that I kind of have to invoke the ME2 rule of decisions not mattering plot wise.  A change like that screws over people who didn't play ME2, and people who helped Tali (everyone.)

The most likely thing that I see is that its marginalized.  Like they let Tali back in because she helps reclaim the homeworld if shes exiled, or they welcomed her as a hero for the same reason if she wasn't.  Some people would probably treat her coldly on the flotilla.  That seems pretty in line with ME2's happenings.

Ya know the worse part of not being a Artist, is when you have a cool idea yet cannot draw a stick figure right.
