Also, there's another factor to consider about this poll, and it's a huge factor. The face. 

Tali doesn't have a face yet. Faces are huuuuggeellly important to human beings. A face communicates so much it's almost staggering to think about it.

A poll in regards to attractiveness between a character with a face and one without, it's basically the equivalent of a race between a person with two legs and a person with one.

The poll isn't important. If you want to go with raw looks, Kasumi just for being human and having a visible face may be more "attractive," in the physical sense. But if you are a Tali fan worth his salt, you like Tali on a more transcending level, you like Tali for her. If all we wanted some raw physical attraction, there is always Miranda or Jack.

Polls suuuuuck especially on these forums in this environment of fancrazies.

Yeah, it depends on whether the poll taker will close the poll to further skew the results, or leave it open.  And in the latter case, Tali will eventually prevail.

Yeah but either way, on these forums, how useful are polls? Especially in the "1v1" category, everyone has their own self-interests in mind.

But as long as we are on the subject of Tali, my favorite scene of hers is the one from ME1 where you have to "rescue" her (as if she couldn'ta kicked their butts). That sleazy turian...ugh. I could tell from her reaction she could take care of herself!

Some people really do not give Tali much credit when it comes to being rescued. She blew up those two salarians in her intro, and when you find her locked in the observatory, there are several dead geth in the room with her.

Half of them have been really ravaged, too.

And my subsequent thread that I made wasn't supposed to be bashing Liara fans, I just wanted to confront the Forums about their baseless dislike for Tali fans.  Everyone else who posted made it about Liara.

Yeah, I didnt get involved in that fight, but I think both you and others were at fault.

I think it was when something was said that was taken personally that flared everyones tempers. I just think that things got taken too seriously, and people should have just relaxed.

I agree, I should have attempted to stop the discussion from spiraling like it did.  I should have reiterated that I wasn't there to cause trouble instead of responding with more and more volatile responses. 

Shoulda done the experiment on every fan thread not just Tali and Liara. That's what I thought you were gunna do anyway. Your intentions were good except that minor flaw of opening them up to possibly feel like victims.

I did the experiment on the Tali thread, the Liara thread was genuine.  The only reason I experimented on the Tali thread is because one of the Liara thread people PMed me and got me thinking.  I wasn't trying to find out what all threads would do, just the Tali thread.

The poll is pretty vague in that aspect.  I interpreted it as overall attractiveness in general, whereas others apparently see it as physical attractiveness only.

Tali is unbeatable in the former, and at a huge disadvantage in the latter.

@Phil, I did vote for Tali, but I think the ambiguity of "attractive," is a fair point in regards to whether we should care about the poll's results. Like you said, in the raw, blind attraction part, Kasumi is aided by having a visible face. And like another poster said, pretty much anyone who isn't a Tali fan is voting for Kasumi. Anyways, lest I be hypocritical to my own words, we should stop talking about the poll.

In ME1, Tali is one of the few squadmates who actually helps you fight the bad guys when you meet her (the other is Ash). Liara just crouches on the elevator while you fight the geth. Garus does shoot one of the thugs in the Doctor's office, but just stands there during the rest of the fight.
