It's still a big assumption, alien biology and all, but a reasonable one since it IS just a game.sergio71785 wrote...
Yeah that's true. Isn't what we taste actually like 90% smell? Something like that.NuclearBuddha wrote...
She mentions being able to smell, so yeah, it's likely.
Oh, and the codex talks about quarians sampling different foods when they come into a big supply of them. So yeah, there is proof of quarian sense of taste. No leaps of logic needed.

I doubt it tastes that bad. Its probably rather tasteless.
Who knows, quarians are aliens, maybe they don't even have tastebuds, and eating is only for nutrition for them.
Well, it's not impossible, but it's extremely likely that they do have a sense of taste.
Yeah I know, it just seems like we're all projecting the identity of what we would feel like if we could suddenly not taste foods as the quarian opinion. And I feel like they would have a different outlook on things. I imagine they're used to the whole situation. I can't really see them going around sighing at every rose and crying whenever they see a steak. I'm sure they think about it from time to time, but I know if that was me, what's the point in getting myself depressed?
Who knows, maybe I'm just trying to cheer myself up

Tali and Shepard eat dinner together in his cabin. It probably doesn't cause her much of a reaction to take her mask off in there for small periods of time.
I wonder how often Tali would be able to go without a suit in Shep's cabin. I imagine its pretty clean, and their immune systems are adaptive. It would be really cool if she could get to the point where getting a cold was the worst possible consequence in there.

i still stand by my comment that she could have a machine that pastes and sterilizes food that's cooked for her. that suit has a lot of pockets after all.
But where are they?! I see no pockets and I have done many, many through investigations of her suit.
. . .For scientific reasons, of course.

Ok so I have been sans internet for 24 hours and I'm ready to strangle an ostrich.
Also Kuasumi is meh and all for a sad hippie thief / former phone sex operator.
She is useful in combat enough I guess.
But in no way whatsoever comes close to Tail.
I know everyone likes the smell of fresh paint and all but please people.

Yeah, I think she'd adapt after a while. She even says in regards to linking suit environments, "we get sick at first, then we adapt"
Also, Shep's cabin should be very clean. It has an airtight door. Since the door is airtight, air would come in through vents connected to the lifesupport system; which I imagine would only output clean, sterile air.
