I assume the rest of the Reapers won't be so arrogant as to make the same mistake.

I don't think Sovereign was being arrogant, I think he was just desperate. He didn't have control of the Citadel, so he needed Saren to get him control of it so he could call in the others. After Saren got killed, he basically had no choice but to take control himself.

Humans need to hire the Quarians to build a super dreadnaught to surpass the Destiny Ascension. You know how humans are, they love to one-up everyone! We can call it the Deathstar. None of the other races will get the reference, and it's a pretty badass name when you think about it.

Quarians originally built (though I imagine with Geth labor) that 20 KILOMETER LONG SPACE STATION that Legion's loyalty mission takes place on, so you know they'll be up to the task!

That would take a long time to build. The Death Star took several years, but then again, they are powered by the speed of plot.Posted Image

Anyone else hope we don't see Tali's face in ME3?  I think it's one of those "mysteries" best left unsolved.  Everyone has different opinions on what she may look like, and you obviously can't please everyone.  It's the same reason why I think Bungie made the right choice not unmasking Master Chief.  Not every question has to be answered.

A little of both, I imagine.  Sovereign was a pretty cosmic jerk.

I'd like to see it, but wouldn't be all broken up if they preserve the mystery.

Something interesting about the fight with Sovereign. He was basically invincible for most of the fight. Hell, it didn't even care about crashing right into that Cruiser.

It wasn't until Saren died (while Sovereign was ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL of him), that we heard "Its shields are down!" and it immediately got torn apart by the Alliance Navy.

That "feedback" it received from having its control of Saren terminated early seemed to be key to taking it out. I wonder if knocking out their "shields" will be the key to being able to fight them. Maybe Dark Energy will be used to knock out their shields?

Seems as if when a Reaper shifts its consciousness into something - or someone - else, it becomes vulnerable.

I assume the rest of the Reapers won't be so arrogant as to make the same mistake.

I don't think it was arrogance on Sovereign's part.  What good could he have done sitting on the Citadel as a big destructive cuttlefish?  He wouldn't have been able to open the Citadel relay without Saren, and that was his only objective.  He had to risk it with Saren.  Maybe that last rocket that husk Saren shoots kills Shepard, and he can succeed.  Releasing control of Saren ends any chance he has of suceeding.

Isn't that always the case though? There are always several new threads but we all end up flocking to one until it has about 10 posts and we call it a day.

You know who was a jerk? Saren. I'm not even talking about everything he did to help Sovereign; you can kinda see it from his perspective.
The reason I say he's a jerk is because on Presidium Tower, he shot a Keeper for no reason while he approached the terminal. No reason at all! Wtf, man.

To be fair, we don't really know much about them.  Maybe they can create a thousand reapers per "acceptable" race, and they've been doing this for billions of years.  What if they're coming in with over a hundred thousand?  Not much we can do no matter what then :pinched:

They use surprise attacks because thats how they started, thats no guarantee that they still rely on them.

Pretty sure it was acknowledged somewhere in ME1 that if the galaxy knew what was going on, it had the numbers/power to stop the Reapers.

The only thing, then, is to figure out what the butcher's bill is going to be.

Really?  I don't see how we could know in ME1.  We don't even know what the reapers are until the end, and the only info we get on them is from Sovereign's (lie riddled,) diatribe.

Unless there's something I missed.  Something on Ilos mentioning numbers?

Master Chief was a different case, seeing as how the lack of a face was used for immersion purposes. Tali however is a set character, I think we should be able to see her face. I would not rage if they did not, however.

I think it would be great if they showed her face. I know a great many people will be disappointed because she won't be what they imagined, but hey, that's the point. Even if she doesn't look like how you'd expect or want, she's still Tali, are you going to let that get in the way of how you feel about the character or not?

It'd be an intersting social experiment.

Heh.  Saren didn't want to have to wait for the keeper to finish with the terminal.  He hates standing in line.

In the first book, he does some really jerkish things.  I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it, but he's more of an ass than renegade Shepard :)

I thought it was Sovereign who said it.  But it could have been Vigil, perhaps.

That's the thing, he wasn't even using the Terminal that Saren was heading to (the one where the Councillors were), the Keeper was just off to the side minding his own business. :crying:

WOW.

I personally LOVED Saren in the book. He was a far more interesting character in Revelations.
