It's not really that hard to understand. Tali gets about 50% of all votes whether it's 1 or 10 other women to choose from. It's just that everyone who doesn't love Tali vote for Kasumi on that poll. Had there been five choices Tali would get 50% and Kasumi would split the votes with the others.

To be fair now, its hardly Kasumi vs Tali but Kasumi + everyone else vs Tali.

I took a peek in the Liara thread yesterday and saw the poll being posted with vote KASUMI as a message, and I think I saw it elsewhere as well.

Impressive but I think Kasumi's inability to be romanced is actually working in her favor since she's a neutral character everyone can get behind without all of the baggage.

Yeah, I thought something like that was happening too. To be fair, though, Kasumi is pretty awesome. Space ninja thief!  Kasumi also get's bonus points for thinking that Gabby and Donnely would make a cute couple.
