Well, we don't need her to be the most popular.  I do not.  It's not comforting to see that she is down to Kasumi, but not everyone likes Tali.  Talimancers will vote for Tali and and everyone who hates Tali will vote for Kasumi...and of course so will those who like Tali but think Kasumi is cuter.  Then of course there are the jealous voters who are fans of other characters like Miranda and Jack.  

So really, that Tali has kept pace is pretty good. 

And honestly, they did make Kasumi pretty damned cool.  I don't have her but I have seen quite a bit of video of her.

I personally like Kasumi a lot. If the poll had been between her and another character, I'd have picked her. Tali, however, has my loyalty if I'm forced to chose.
