That was the intention from the start.  The entire thing was to create a Tali fan vs the forum battle, and it succeeded.  95% of people either voted because it was Tali, or voted because it wasn't Tali.  People were going around recruiting votes against Tali.  The fact that its Kasumi was irrelevant.  The fact that the poll was closed with Tali trailing by 3 votes right before the high traffic time for this thread is just further proof of the goal, which was to incite.  Luckily, most here seem to have seen through the intent and have ignored it

I'm not seeing why a person can't legitimately vote (though I agree that the poll was set up in a fashion that promoted straight-up feuding).  Tali's shape is more attractive than Kasumi's to me.

People can logically vote.  GuardianAngel said he voted for Kasumi based on his interpretation of the question (which was incredibly vague on top of everything else,) and I voted for Tali based on the question asked.  There's no way even close to the majority of the 700 or whatever other voters thought about the poll at all.

I think you're giving Tali's voters too much credit.  I'm sure more voted because their favorite character was losing a poll than anything else.

All the poll proves is that there are just as many Tali fans as there are fans for all other characters combined.

They make it pretty clear in the game that Illium and Omega have the same amount of crime and underhanded activity going on.  Illium is just more sophisticated about it.  Both places are scum pits.

Yeah, I actually made a three-point list last night detailing what was going on with the poll. To summarize it:

• "New car" smell
• The issue with Tali not having a face
• Tali fans vs. non-Tali fans. If the poll had more options, all of Kasumi's votes would get spread out among the other females, whereas Tali's votes would stay about the same.

I like all characters. And Tali isn't even my favourite *puts up flame shield*
I still voted for her, though.

Yeah, I enjoy all of the charactors, even Miranda, but Tali IS my favorite!
