While we are on the topic of fics, how much information is actually provided about the slaver attack on Mindoir? I only ask because the details seem unclear. Are their any survivors beyond the enslaved? Was Mindoir defended from attack? What kind of colony was it? Was it a Horizon or a Feros?

Very little information provided. Look up in wiki "Commander Shepard" and "Mindoir."

Already did. Very unspecific. Alliance sent in ground forces but doesn't say when or how quickly. Huge farming colony so likely alot like Horizon, which would imply similar defences.

Left to interpretation. So have fun with speculation.

My main point of speculation is whether or not others might have survived the attack but managed to avoid enslavement. It appears as though the marines arrived, engaged the batarians, fell back, held their ground, possibly found Shepard, and evacuated, leaving the colony to be destroyed.
