Chool, you are no longer a bastard

YOU are a bastard!

I did it once in a renegade playthrough...Image IPB
Cerberus sends him back to the fleet anyways 'cause he didn't have any useful info

yeah but he's more f*cked up than if the more compassionate quarian docs had taken care of him.

True...then again, that was the only playthrough I did it in to see what would happen. Poor Veetor Image IPB

I think Raan will be supportive of Tali + Shep when she finds out.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if she suspected it already.

Raan: Of course I knew, Tali'Zorah. The way you talked about him when you returned from the pilgrimage... And then your trial! He defended you with so much passion during your trial... It was obvious he cared for you as more than just a crew member.

<3

That would be nice in ME3.

Agreed, I want people to actually comment on Shep and Tali being together.  While I think its unlikely, it seems like it would be a big enough deal to some people that some comments would make sense.  Like that one from Raan would be great, and I'm sure we could find some jerks around as well.

I kind of like the idea of some Cerberus crewman talking ****, not knowing that Shepard is within earshot.

Insertnamehere: I don't get it. Everyone knows those damn bucket-heads are thieves. She's probably only on the ship to steal some more secrets for her derelict fleet. I guess the Commander just has some messed up fantasies or something to keep her around. Disgusting. She probably has teeth down there or something.

And then Shepard wrecks him.

I disapprove of your question and the massive amounts of negative waves.  We need a quarian pounce

Image IPB

As far as the question, the second option is better, but still nothing desirable.  I feel like you could convince her to stay with a paragon option.  Stuff like you're too important to me for me to let you risk you're life.  The quarians still need your help, you're the only one that can help them.  It would take convincing, but I could see you being able to convince her.

The options you listed sound like choices in ME2 when the persuasion choices are blacked out.

there will be some time between ME2 and ME3.. where she will be falling more in love with you...

and do you really think if you told tali that you did not want her to get hurt so she had to stay. she would listen to you?

no.... thats what i thought

Tali can do a lot of good if she survives.  If the mission could be successful without her sacrificing herself, it would be selfish for her to want to.  I think that's the big thing right there.  She's not selfish.

Worst case scenario, I can't convince her to stay, despite telling her all the reasons too.  I'd prefer to restrain her in some way to keep her from dying.  Anyway that leaves her alive, and knowing that I always loved her is better than either of those options.

I reject your reality and substitute my own:
---
Place:  Normandy mess hall.
Time:  The day after the suicide mission.

The crew sits for their evening meal.  More are there than usual, the shared hardship having brought them all together.  Thane sits uncomfortably at the corner of a table, trying to maintain a least some distance from everyone else.  Jack kicks her legs irreverently while she sits on the food prep counter, ignoring Mess Sergeant Gardner's dirty looks as she shovels in spoonfuls of gumbo.  Though exhausted from the fight and the ongoing repairs, the crew's chatter is animated and almost euphoric.

Tali sits next to Shepard, hands folded demurely across her lap, having finished her tube of paste long before anyone else had cleared their tray.  She's feeling a little out of sorts, suddenly self-conscious of sitting so close to Shepard.  The fever and sinus problems aren't helping.

The assembled crew laughs and Tali with them, as Goldstein finishes his hilarious retelling of Matthews stumbling all over himself when he met with the Consort.  As the laugher starts to die down, her irritated throat and lungs start to seize and Tali is struck by a coughing fit.

Tali:  * cough cough, hack!  cough! *

Shepard:  Tali, are you alright?

The crew has fallen silent, surprised by the obvious concern in Shepard's voice.

Tali:  No, I'm fine, just a little...

Crewman Hadley giggles, then abruptly falls silent, placing her hand over her mouth.  Everyone turns to look at her.

Tali:  * Ah ah ACHOO! *

More nervous laughter ripples through the seated crew members.  Crewman Rolston starts clapping.  The assembly dissolves into applause, laughter and catcalls as Shepard puts an arm around the quarian's thin shoulders and pulls her a little closer.

So why did you give Veetor to cerberus then?
Not a very paragon thing to do

I'm doing a rengade playthrough. There are going to be many decisions I will feel bad for in the future.

It's not going to end well for the Normandy crew.Image IPB

Then you are a braver man than me. I simply can not play Renegade.
Damn you, BioWare and you're ability to create characters that make me. . .feel.

I let the crew die in one playthrough because I wanted to bring Legion on Tali's recruitment.  It was totally worth it.

How about this for a choice.  You're on Rannoch after defeating the reapers.  Thanks to technological advances, quarian immune systems are fixed.  Tali has just gotten a new bikini, and a new dress to go out dancing.  She asks you whether you would rather go out dancing, or to a beautiful remote area on a moonlit beach.

You ask her which she would prefer, but she leaves the choice up to you.  You get the feeling that she would prefer dancing, but wouldn't mind either choice.

What do you do?

See, happy choices :wizard:

I must say though, many renegade options in this game feel more like "I haven't got time for this sh!t" than "I'm a huge douche"

But paragon is far superior
