i cant bare searching tali on youtube. all that pops up are those damn death compilations i will never watch that again :'(

Hey all! Been lurking for about 30 mins while watching TV. Been going a bit slower than usual.

Gotta jump in and say something. Generally I don't like to bash any of the LIs as they each are made with a specific 'romance' mindset to cater to different tastes.

Mirranda's romance arc is unfortunately whether intentional or not shallower than the other LIs.

Miranda is the Shiny trinket, the 'See this body? You like? I like... Lets get it on baby!' kind of romance that from my perspective isn't meant to be long term.

Tali's romance on the other hand has an actual crewmate-friend-lover progression that speaks a lot more of her emotional involvement *and* investment that non of the other LIs has. Maybe Jack...but Jack is not very stable anyways, so she could just as easily decide that Shepard was just out to get into her pants and decide to cut your throat as you slept.

So, no thanks. I'll take the woman who stayed loyal to you inspite of the shock of learning that you are with Cerberus when others abandoned you. Tali says it best when she got news from the fleet calling her back to face charges: 'I am not working for Cerberus, I am working for you.'

Tali was there for Shepard. Period. Loyalty and love like that, its no wonder we Talimancers feel the way we do about Tali.

Playing devil's advocate here, even though I agree with you some what.

Even the ME1 romances seemed tacked on. They were arkward, some what forceful, and fairly unfeeling in my opinion. In comparison, Miranda's romance kicked ass.

The reason many players can't feel how good Miranda's romance really is, is simply due to the natural, awesome, unbelieveably epic romance with Tali. There you have a crew memeber you got to KNOW very, very well first. You've done so much with her, that you as a player can feel a connection with her right off the bat.

Miranda can't compete against that, I don't think anyone really can. Which is why, as this is a RPG game, I tend to start romance Miranda only to break it off for Tali. Just the way it is, yo.

I'm with you on the ME1 romances.  Those are just pathetic when compared to the ME2 romances.  I think you're overselling Miranda's a little bit.  Being better than ME1's romance arc is no real accomplishment.  I'll agree that it probably isn't as bad as a lot here, myself included, make it out to be, but it really shouldn't be compared with the other 2.

You know, i'm speculating here but...

Since you have Mordin on your side and he's a certified genius, just maaaaaybe he will find a way to fix the Quarrian immune system in ME3.

And if the Geth are friendly to Sheppard now as well... hell they're pretty intelligent too and have a ton of data on the Quarrians i'm sure. Maybe they'd help out.

Who knows! All things interesting are to be considered!

Damn it's been 6 days since I last wrote FF... Guess I should start the 3rd chapter. Sippin' some coffee and listening to some cool music... Nice atmosphere for FF writing. Weekend = no stress.
