cabin. What? What am I doing here? What happened... Oh... Her
line of thought was cut short when her eyes came resting on Shepard
sleeping next to her, and the events of the past two came back to her.
She guessed that she rolled away from him when she was asleep, she
quickly corrected this by pressing her body up to his and by laying her
arm across his chest. It was just a dream. He chose me, not her. I'm the one that can make him happy... I'm so lucky... As
she finished her thought she realized just how lucky she was. It was
harder to find a woman that didn't want Shepard then it was to find one
that wanted him. He could literally have any woman he wanted of any
race he wanted, there was even a krogan that put out a breeding request
for him
.
If he wanted he could probably even find a group of women who
would be willing to share him. With all of his options he chose her.
She wasn't one of the millions that wanted him, she was the one that
had him, she was the only one that he wanted.

LOL.

I takes a very special kind of cruelty for a person to do what Miranda did.

I'm pretty sure it would look something like this:

Tali wasn't an idiot, she knew the score. They were
two hours out from the Omega 4 relay. A few minutes ago, Miranda had
come down and kicked her out of engineering. A few seconds ago she saw
Shepard follow her in. She didn't need to guess what they were doing in
there, and why Miranda had chosen that spot to do it. She was rubbing
her face in her victory, she was taking Shepard in her domain. Making
the simple act a personal message. "I won" She leaned on the console
outside of the elevator overlooking the garage. She told herself that
she wanted Shepard to be happy, that she didn't care who he was with as
long as he was happy.
It didn't work. She
shuddered struggling to hold in her tears, she heard footsteps
approaching but took no notice of them until she felt a light tap on
her shoulder. She looked up into the face of Zaeed.

"Hey," he said, the normally gruff mercenary had a look of compassion
on his face that looked completely out of place on him. "you look like
you could use some rest, you can use my cot if you want, I wont be
needing it anyways, got some things to take care of up in the armory."
"Th-Thank you." Tali's grief was replaced by surprise. There is probably a story behind that... She
thought as she began to make her way for the starboard cargo bay. As
she walked she couldn't help but wish that she was going to Shepards
cabin. As she lay down on the cot she couldn't help but wish that that
cot was Shepards bed. She tried to push the thoughts out of her mind as
she closed her eyes...

Don't worry, it's all a dream and she wakes up in Shepards bed....

You rock for using Zaeed.

Seconded! Good choice. Fic does cultivate  feeling.

Finally!  Now I know I'm not the oldest person here.

Am happy to take title. Used to being oldest.

The feeling is new to me.  They just keep getting younger, don't they.

"Derelict" Collector Ship mission - End scene - Shepard, Tali, and Miranda fleeing towards shuttle - Right at the end Shepard trips Miranda and closes the shuttle door behind him.

"What the FFFFFUUUUU"

"OMG I ALMOST DIDN'T DO IT, I ALMOST DIDN'T DO IT!" *half five*

I kid, I kid :P this is actually my squad

The Collector Ship was an obvious trap. There was no way in hell I was bringing Tali in there.

Yeah, I took Mordin (for scientific opinion) and Grunt (for muscle)

Did you take this?  That is a great shot.

I prefer sending her into the vents, though.  Then they look at each other across that distance just before the mission starts and it's very poignant.

Edit:  and I just realized we're talking about the derelict ship...

Screenshot courtesy of epoch at the peak of his greatness :P

And a lot of good moments that Sergio is missing by not sending Tali through the vents. "I won't let you down" and her pose is dawful

@Lividy, I take Tali on the Derelict Collector Ship. She kicked ass throwin Chiktikka in the Praetorian's face and making the Scorn's do a 180.

Zaeed is awesome.

Most of his mission dialogue is great.  The bit on Samara's recruitment with Elnora the mercenary:

"That's an Eclipse uniform.  Turn and face the wall."

Well genius, most people over 28 have a job, a life, a mate, and have no time for a Candian-made video game. :P

It's not a minific! It's an expert from a full fanfiction I've been working on!

I just included that thing as a jumping board for the next part, which you should read.
