ok, so let me change this. You have to get into the ship before a bomb explodes (no time to diffuse it) and you have to choose between 2 things:
1)Get into and seal a bomb shelter and thus save hundreds of colonists
2)Carry an injured tali into the shuttle and take off, saving you and her, but leading to the death of hundreds of colonists

Happy now mr. "its about choice"?

I choose option 2.

You know what's cool, quarians are like the only race who seem to believe in the reapers. Like, you can talk to the admirals about them and they're not all "'ah yes' reapers" about it, more like "that's why we need our homeworld!"

ME Ascension kinda explains this:  they know the geth better than most, and so they're open to the idea of Sovereign not being some geth superweapon.  Unfortunately, some of the Flotilla thinks that they can use the Reapers somehow.

Somehow... I doubt that with Tali's being the daughter of an admiral that the quarians would be to receptive of a relationship between her and Shepard.

Unless she was exiled, then they probably don't care

I hope the relationship stirs up a political ****storm in ME3/

If Udina or the Admirals have anything to say, they will be treated with a healthy dose of Shepard Punch and Tali Kick.

Their choice.

I get the feeling Raan and Gerrel would approve, Zaal"Korris and Xen might not

hey now don't forget the Wrex. He believes the reapers exist as well. And the geth already knew the old machines want to destroy all life.

So lets put it this way. three races believe in the reapers

The council races (the main ones)

Asari, Turian, Salarians do no believe in the repears.

so tis an even tie 3 do not believe and 3 believe.

That leaves the Alliance. Anderson believes they exist but can't do anything about it.

Admiral Hackett I'm sure believes they ecist as well, but is possible he is being silenced fearing political blow-back.

Interesting interesting yes yes?? =]=]=]

In ME3 Hackett tells the council to go to hell, and fights dem reapers.

Well, i'm a very selfish bastard, so i'll save Tali EVERY time B)

It'd be for the greater good. Tali is much more useful to fight with than 100 random people who can't defuse a bomb.

You don't seem like a very creative person. It's like, you can't imagine drama being formed without tragedy.

Using death to inject drama into a scene is so lazy and uncreative; it's basically just a crutch. One that Bioware is generally above, thankfully.

Well said.  Death is becoming cliche and instead of creating grief, it often creates anger at the makers.

I would much rather they find another way to ****** me off or make me upset.

He may believe in the Reapers, but I doubt most Krogan do; or even really care.

Oh, fun, a lose-lose situation!

He forgot the Deus Ex options:

Paragon:

Sacrifice yourself to save the colony and Tali, but then be instantaneously brought back to life by a redundant system left over from Project Lazarus.

Renegade:

Get ripsh!t pissed, knowing that the power of your rage will keep you from dying, and wreck shop until the disaster is averted.

2.

My reasoning being Tali is much more important to the fight against the Reapers than 100 random colonists.

That, and also Sheperd is more important to the fight against reapers than 100 random colonists. Option 1 has Sheperd dying too.

Agreed. Posted this on page 546.

Setting aside bias. Bioware can ripe emotional hearts out. Has no
trouble doing so. Death, however. Is very limiting. Have confidence
Bioware knows this. Will find more heart-rending way if hate is
required. For example. See entire forum's reaction to Liara &
Kaiden/Ashley. Would be easier if characters died. Instead, loss of
willingness to follow Shepard more anger inducing. Hope same does not
occur with Tali.

By the way. On my latest playthrough, during Tali's trial. Han'Gerrel started going off about how I stole the Neema's best crew member. I have never heard this before. What, exactly. Triggers it? In fact. I don't think Han even mentioned that he was Vas Neema until this playthrough. I is confuzzled.
