Oh you should. I know it's not what Tali would want, but what Tali wants isn't always best (same goes for all squad mates). It's important to "guide" your team mates from making mistakes.

Just like you can influence Garrus into moving away from his renegade tendencies, you can influence Tali away from her hatred of the Geth. Fighting the Geth will only bring extinction upon the quarians.

Strong point, Sergio.  Urging her away from her hatred is healthier and probably safer for her too.  Does she still love you and come to the cabin if you activate Legion and use the Paragon dialog to solve their dispute after both loyalty missions are done?

Yes.

Yeah, it doesn't change anything (as long as you do use a charm or side with her in the dispute). Believe me, if activating Legion meant no Tali love, I'd have sold his ass to Cerberus a long time ago. :P

Hey, it's not the same thing. You do comfort her with words, at least.

And she's not in the risk of burning alive or getting shot in the face  if you don't hug her. :P

And you risk permanently hurting her emotionally. We both risk something. You still love her and comfort her and I don't let her temperature go any higher than it normally is. And what's this about a stray bullet? I never heard of such a thing.

There is only so many dramatic deaths, twists, etc, BioWare can do until the material gets stale. I still think we need a betrayal of some sort in ME3 where one of your squadmates sells you out. This could lead to an epic confrontation with a variety of endings.

Miranda fits that bill.

Mordin: Are you sick? No no your not coughing. Appears you are in good health. May I ask why?
Tali: ... well, just in case if I get a suit breach while in combat and... stuff?
Mordin: Sensing tension in your voice. Hmm. Ah, you are lying?
Tali: wha? No ... no!
Mordin: Ahh, predictable response. Yes you are lying. Oh... reason you want immuno-boosters becuase of Commander Shepard Yes?
Tali: Huh?? What? I don't know what.....umm....ok yeah. I need it for him...<3

Mordin turns over the necessary drugs and then launches into his "erogenous zone overviews" talk while Tali wrings her hands feverishly and wishes she could bolt from the room.

You give her waaay too little credit if you think not hugging = permanent emotional scar. She's no stranger to losing loved ones. Has already lost her mom, and multiple friends. :crying:

Heh, awesome!

As much as I would prefer always keep Tali happy, her hatred has become somewhat consuming in ME2.  Yet, I understand it because her father and her status among her people is largely defined by 'those Geth bastards'.  Ultimately I want her happy; not just in the short term, but in the long term.  That might mean thinking outside of the box and trying to resolve the Geth conflict without open war.  Diplomacy would save a lot of Quarian lives.  I am not trying to spare Geth, I am trying to spare Quarians and among them, some of Tali's friends.

I understand why many Tali fans send her into the vents. The idea of it's her job in the tech areas, the trust there is between the two, she saves Shepard by getting the door open, etc.

But I still just can't accept it. There's a robot right there! A robot! It can't feel fear or desperation while it's moving through a thermal vent!  Not to mention, the fact that its computer brain can hack a million times faster than an organic operator (even EDI was concerned about activating Legion)

Legion is just so much the logical choice.

The Renegade option is kinda :?

Really mean. I won't have a full renegade playthrough.

Did you know you can side with Tali there and then go talk to Legion and tell him you lied about siding with Tali and he'll become loyal? Dat's a d!ck move, renegade Shepard *goes into attitude pose*

I agree on Miranda, Legion is also a good choice (hey, don't hit me, i like him but he fits the traitor profile)

When you get to the vent before she even has a chance to call for help, her "I knew you wouldn't let me down" line is d'aaawwwrific.

Exactly. And get this, she actually get's hurt more on Haestrom (took some fire on Haestrom) than when I sent her through the "suicide mission" :D

I love that video. I just like seeing Tali and Legion interacting positively like that, and yeah, sassing Shepard.

I know it happens regardless of the squad mates, but it's still nice to see.

That is a great cut scene.  I wish you could see that if you romanced her.  That would charge the scene with so much emotion.

Sadly, I have read nearly every FF on FF.net regarding Tali, and about 1/3 of the rest. :)  There are a lot of really good ones.
