I know. Keep the "Come here" line, but use a gentler, warmer tone.

Like when he hugs her. The "come here" was all kinds of gentle.

He just says it too loud.

He almost shouts it.

"It's okay, COME HERE!"

Yeah, I pretty much bought it for the action. (and for the cheap price) I always hated Angelina Jolie anyways.

She's like the Miranda Lawson of actresses, exuding a sexual overripeness that repulses rather than attracting.

Honestly? It wouldn't even bother me that Miranda is overly hot, that's part of her character.

It's that she COMPLAINS ABOUT IT.

The first woman, EVER, who complains about being too beautiful.

WTF.

Which is why I prefer Jack, and to a far greater extent, Tali.

Jack has damn good reasons for complaining about most things, and so does Tali, who rarely does. Which is why they're superior.

I've never liked that body type, with all the junk in the trunk and the big boobs.  One or the other is okay, but not both.  It's just... too... I dunno.

Yeah. Jacob's okay and nice and all. He just isn't awesome.

Agreed. Jacob is. . .pretty much my least favorite character. Compared to everyone else he's just so. . .boring. ME doesn't need an 'everyman'. It's an extraordinary world and should be filled with extraordinary characters, I feel.

It's probably psychological. Tali's in an extremely confusing situation (hence the babbling like an idiot), Shepard realizes that and adds humor or confidence to balance.

Ahem, he also coulda done it "breathlessly" like other LIs  but I didn't frown after 10 watches so meh. It's all good.

Sorry, but that scene was begging for some humor.

"Uhhh, Tali, I have no idea how to take this off, and my hands are dirty from holding this report pad. H/O for 5 mins while I take a shower"

VETO , I veto this with all my veto power!

The scene had zero place for humor. The humor comes later on with her "Just so you know" line.

Which was perfect.

Too bad Garrus didn't have a morning after line...

Bleh.

K I agree with the superiority stuff but when does Miranda "complain"?? AFAIK she brags!!

She whines and moans about how nothing she ever did was ever worth anything because it wasn't her who did it, it was her genetic tailoring. She can't take credit for her looks, or her biotics, or her intelligence. She just complains about how none of it is her, it's all her DNA.

This is like, the basis of Miranda's character, which is that she's overly perfect, and she hates it.

Same basic principle behind Edward Cullen. Don't even get me started on him.

Yes I understand what you mean now.

So you would touch Tali with your bare hands that were touching that filthy report pad that probably came from Kelly.

If it were me I'd be like "zomg we need to sterilize this place, where are the herbal supplements, I need to burn these clothes!" then run around frantically until Tali laughs her ass off and isn't nervous anymore.

Oh yeah :innocent:

Tali: ...and I'm babbling like an idiot.

Shepard: Tali, relax... I want this. <3

You know...  I'm not feeling it.  It makes it all about what Shep wants.  Which, while it might be gratifying for her to hear, seems a little... self-centered.

Really? Hmm... I suppose it could come off that way...

It's better than the Come here line.  I can't peg down what it was about the line that bothered me, but it definitely did bother me.

"Come here", "I want this". It's all selfish.

There's too much control. Garrus' romance was hilarious. I was laughing the whole time. This scene was begging for humor. "How the hell do you get this off" woulda cracked me up every time.

Very true, but there is a fine line between selfish and dominant.  You know Shepard would be the dominant person in the relationship, every relationship has one.  I'm not saying controlling, just dominant.  Tali's tough but she still can't hold a flame to shepard in strength of personality.  At least not mine.

Someone has to say what the other is thinking, or else it doesn't get said and the relationship fails.

I really like the "Just so you know" part of the 'afterwards' line.

It's really cute because she's blaming you, but in a completely playful and girlfriend type of way.

I prefer a more athletic build.

Which is another thing that bothers me about Miranda... she's supposed to have enhanced strength and endurance... but she looks like she has NO muscle mass at all...

Bleh. Really, I can find something to enjoy about any squadmate in the game, even good ol' Jacob, who is like Shepard's bro, and I even found redeeming qualities in Ash, my least favorite from the first game...

But I just can't bring myself to like Miranda... Not even from a character standpoint.

Don't mean to get so off topic.

. . .REALLY?
I never saw Wanted. Can you tell me what happens or would that be a spoiler or something?

He says something to the effect of "and that's how I turned my life around and became a super badass like most people never dream of.  So what's wrong with all you pathetic losers that are just sitting on your couches watching me?"

Wow. . .just. . .wow.

I wrote a minific that continues the dialogue, but last time I posted it my poorly delivered oral sex joke was not taken very well.
