so its a bomb to pritty much make everyones computer freze up, well the crappy ones anyway, praise the lord for my Alienware area 51 ALX, i reckon that could handle T-bombs all day

Sadly that is correct.

Most Talimancers would know a T-bomb was going off and avoid it.
That being said, the danger isn't meant to freeze a persons computer, but to essentially drown the thread to death.

are you guys really that scared of the T-bomb, if its this scary i wanna see what it does muahahahahahaha, drop it on a jacob thread maybe or the jack one, i dont like either of them so its okay lol
If you have a good computer its nothing to worry about, just 100+ Tali pics in a row. My problem is I'm on a crappy laptop from 2003 or so. It has trouble running two tabs at once. That many pictures and its not pretty
so its a bomb to pritty much make everyones computer freze up, well the crappy ones anyway, praise the lord for my Alienware area 51 ALX, i reckon that could handle T-bombs all day. . . Hang on i just realised something, would that cause 'colladeral' damage to talimancer who have crappy computers though?
It would, and does
you'd think with all the tech savvy people on here they could come up with a kind of 'friendly' T-bomb or something that would cause friendly fire such as it were.

Luckily, my computer can handle a T-bomb.
Problem is are the pictures loading 1 by one. Each time one loads it forces the page to become longer making it very difficult to reach the comment box so i can post. xD

Agreed. It appears to be a lame, somewhat-ineffective tactic employed when some feel the topic discussions are diverging too far off course of Tali and/or they are becoming too risque in their pic postings, etc. Thankfully being able to block/disable the .gifs and pics sorts that out quickly.

Aye, the .gif carpet bombing also got out of hand. I used a plug-in ad blocker to disable any and all .gifs on this thread weeks ago.
But but.. I started it! That T-Nuke containing 50 pictures was made by me!
So hate me for starting it, and hate Rune for giving it so much more power!
Oh look, I found proof!

You could host the T-bomb pictures in one specific place, yet keep copies from other hosting sites. That way people like me could just block all the pictures in the bomb. Then I could still see the pictures when posted normally, without worrying about getting my computer nuked into the stone age. Alas, the keepers of the T-bomb don't seem overly concerned with the minority of people with outdated computers <_<

I've never seen it used to counter off topicness. In fact, there's been very little complaining of off topicness at all recently. Seems to be largely a dead issue.
I don't like blocking the pictures and gifs personally, because they're cool to see when they're posted randomly. There have been a number of cool new gifs made recently for one. The whole Tbomb thing doesn't pop up often, once every three days or so. I would prefer to just avoid it then, and keep being able to see the awesome art.

Lol. I quite like the offtopicness. The big reason i enjoy coming to this thread is to see what random jibberish is the topic of the day. lol
