It seem that making a good film from a game is impossible.

The problem is the attitude of the movie makers in regards to these movies. From the moment they're conceived, they're built purely for the purpose of capitalizing on an established franchise.To 'harness' a pre-existing fanbase. 

Basically, they don't need to make it good. It'll make nearly the same money whether it's good or bad, and that's all that matters to the higher ups.

Wing Commander isn't even by Boll.  It just sucks super hard.

This is a movie that features a scene where a spaceship hides from the enemy by having the crew stay really quiet.  This is a movie that features wreckage being pushed off the flight deck of a space carrier and FALLING.

No, no, no. I've already seen "Wing Commander" Never again...

As long as Drew Karpshy writes the movie I'm certain it will be fine... the chances of that are slim, however.

And as long as Uwe Boll doesn`t have anything to do with it.

As long as Drew Karpshy writes the movie I'm certain it will be fine... the chances of that are slim, however.

Writers have basically zero power over what you eventually see in the theater.

Can we at least hope? It will happen. Until then I will lull myself with the belief that it might actually be good.
