See, I hadn't thought about being them arboreal at all. When Rannoch was described as arid, I imagined a more savannah-like (or maybe even tundra-like?) environment. But the two aren't mutually exclusive.Lividity Jones wrote...
Possibly. Looking at the shape of their feet and toes, it's possible that they were designed to grip say a branch very tightly, allowing a primitive quarian to hide in whatever taller vegetation Rannoch might have. Taller vegetation which would be located very close to a source of water, making it a perfect ambush location.NuclearBuddha wrote...
It's possible, but they aren't quite digitigrade, which would make that a no-brainer. I've speculated that quarians might have evolved as ambush hunters rather than endurance hunters like humanity.

Legion did say that Rannoch was like Earth, which implies various environments. Even if there is less water than Earth, that doesn't say much. We've got a lot of water.

personally i hope it just forms into one mass fleet. I can already see the epicness of that fight
That's not good battle stratagy though. You'd want fleets in seperate formations. Like, maybe heavy Krogan ships making up the main line, fast and light ships to be used as "cavalry" and flank the sides, etc.
Fllet strategy in ME is based on crossing the T. The idea is to get your ships facing fromt and their ships broadside, making your opponent "cross the T" as it were. Mass Accelerators point forward. One way to do this is baiting ans switching, One force goes head to head with the enemy while another flanks around and hitrs em on their flank. Broadsides don't exist in the Mass Effect universe.
Mass accelerators weren't the only weapons.
Excluding experimental weapons like thanix cannons (which AFAIK only the Normandy has), a lot of ships carried Javelin torpedoes, which are only good at short range because of GARDIAN defense lasers but can do considerable damage.
Also, fighters would probably play a large part in the battle. The humans really surprised the Turians with those...my guess is the Reapers would be in for a nasty shock as well.

True, true. It could be worth saying that what we saw of Haestrom was extremely mountainous. Maybe being rough-terrain adapated could account for the pouncy legs?Lividity Jones wrote...

they are in the council now
Council+ Turians, Alliance Salarians, Asari
Alliance used to have 8, they probably have more now
The only other people who could have them are the Batarians and the Geth (besides Soverign)
The Quarians are more of a Heavy Crusier type, IE a normal crusier outfitted with extra armour and guns

The Treaty of Farixen stipulates the amount of
dreadnoughts a navy may own, with the turian
peacekeeping fleet being allowed the most. As of 2183, the turians had
37 dreadnoughts, the asari had 21, the salarians
had 16, and the Alliance had 6 with another under construction. During
the year 2185, the dreadnought count is 39 turians, 20 asari, 16
salarians, and 8 humans. Alliance dreadnoughts are named after mountains
of Earth (Everest, Kilimanjaro).
