It's really cheesy and cliche, but it would be kinda cool if you got a Reaper on your side.

Sovereign did say that they were each an independent nation, or something like that.

LOL.  And the Reapers stop shooting at the dreadnoughts to deal with the drones...

Drones distract harbinger on land, why not in space as well

Actually the Reapers are in for a nasty shock simply because they don't get to surprise the galaxy, wipe out the leadership center, then mop up the isolated and panicked remnants like usual.

This time they're going to have to back up all that trash they talk.

Precisely why this war is winnable. The Reapers haven't had to pull off a stand-up fight in who knows how long.

You got a better idea? It's either that or lure the Reaper fleet towards that star Tali was studying and finding someway to force it into becoming a supernova, thereby destroying the Reapers, but likely taking out half the galaxy, including Rannoch.

You know, judging on what I saw in ME1, I don't think Soverign had GARDIAN batteries. We may have more of a chance than I thought

They probably have defensive lasers of some kind.

Still, if no one made fighters before the Alliance, maybe they don't have sufficient defense.

and that would probably work, if there werent so many reapers...which can shoot at multiple ships at one time with their super-tentacle lasers

Sovereign was the vanguard of the reaper fleet...probably one of the most bad-ass reapers (they wouldn't send the weakest first).

Well, I'm not really supporting the idea, but I kinda figure that the Reaper itself would make that choice. Maybe something about its original "core species" causes it to come up with a different conclusion than the others. 

Again, I'm not really supporting the idea, though to an extend it might be kinda neat.

Since when does a supernova destroy half a galaxy?

I might be exaggerating, but it would definitely destroy the quarian worlds and that is unacceptable.

so we do have a way to win... THE REST ARE ALL PANZIES WITH NOTHING BUT HEAVY PISTOLS! VICTORY IS ASSURED

I'm not saying that.  I'm saying that they probably don't all have 20km long guns.

And if Shepard can rally the galaxy...that's going to be a *lot* of ships stacked against them.
