Tali and Shepard are going to blow up all the Reapers in Haestroms sun with a super nova....imo

That would destroy Rannoch.

Unacceptable.

The ends justify the means

... thats a scary...thought actually.

Rannoch isn't in the same system as Haestrom. Haestrom was just a colony.

A star that small (I'm assuming its similar to Sol if life could exist on Haestrom) wouldn't cause a super nova, either. Though I can see it blasting enough to wipe out the Reapers if they're in the system.

We don't even know how close Rannoch is to Haestrom.

Size isn't everything. No kinetic barriers or magnetic accelerator guns in 40k if I remember correctly.

Void Shields are the same as kinetic barriers, except they last longer
Heat absorption also isn't an issue with 40k ships, science doesn't exist in Warhammer
also they do have mass accelerators, they just use electro magnets not eezo

Warhammer 40k does not use science!!!
Hehe ...  someone can actually divide by 0 in that universe. ;)

Wait? How? Super novas don't explode that big

I was under the impression that Rannoch was relatively close, considering that Haestrom was a young and developing colony when the Morning War began.

Looks big.  Until you consider the mustered and combined forces of most of the Galaxy.

On another note, some of those Reapers look very different than others.  Not all are created equal.

but all are large enough to ram a dreadnaught and win

If they can catch them.  Dreadnaughts and larger ships could stay pretty far back and still hit the Reapers.

didnt work on sovereign, he just ignored it and rammed them

They didn't have that luxury when defending the Citadel.

If they catch them in open space the battle could be very different.

Ya but colonies don't have to be anywhere near home planet because of mass relays. And as sergio said, star similar in size to Sol wouldn't go supernova.

And quite a few carriers.
And 10s of thousands of cruisers, at least.
And countless frigates and fighters.

If the Reapers aren't allowed to dictate the terms of engagement, we've got an advantage.

So what evactly would happen? A not-quite-so-super-nova?
