It really depends on the execution. We had dancing with LIs in ME1 for instance, yet it was a very simple thing and easily missed. The romances in ME1 and ME2 probably last less than 10 minutes in total length. I don't think adding a short wedding scene or a scene with Shepard living with Tali on Rannoch would be too much. As it is, the romances are very short, we only have the illusion of length because they are paced with intervals.

The execution is exactly what I am worried about.

I see your point and it is a good one. Bioware and Tali's voice actor did a magnificient job in Tali's romance. I expect to see more top notch quality. As for "I love you," I do want some indication of Tali essentially saying it. It does not need to be those words verbatim at all, just some indication.

One of the best examples of the "I love you." line being done was in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.
Leia: I love you.
Han: I know.

That was great because the circumstance, Han was put into a situation that may very well lead to his death. The intimacy between the two characters was played throughout to that point when it became obivous that they had feelings for each other. Leia said it because it may be the last time she ever will, and Han's response was gold because it was true, and it fit the character so well.

I do want to hear this line, but I'd rather them not add it at all rather than screw it up. You also must take into account the different possible LI's, each romance is unique and would have to have the line added and it would have to be done appropriately. There are so many variations to each that can be done, it seems stressing to have to find the best way to add the line, it seems better not to include it at all.
