I do want to hear this line, but I'd rather them not add it at all rather than screw it up. You also must take into account the different possible LI's, each romance is unique and would have to have the line added and it would have to be done appropriately. There are so many variations to each that can be done, it seems stressing to have to find the best way to add the line, it seems better not to include it at all.
I don't think we need to assume they are going to have templates for all of the romances. Some may not even mention as pronounced as others. They can do it as they did with Kasumi. Each one is varied. Relevant to this discussion, her comment on the romance with Tali is the only one involving love. So we already *know* Tali loves Shepard, but it's important for the progression of the romance from revealing feelings into professed or shown love to have more than that, straight from her lips.
The romances are great varied as they are, I think the writers should be able to do it. If it's done horribly, maybe not, but I don't think we'll be seeing that. Ultimately, it's up for the writers to decide.
