Does seem rather... less than lively in here. And it does indeed seem like a good conversation was missed. Have to say I'm on Rips side on that arguement.

I'll take this time to pimp my story out some more:

social.bioware.com/511958/blog/6086/

It has action, explosions... and most importantly for the 'mancers, it finally introduces Tali to the Normandy!

great chapter, looking forward to the next. Keep up the good work.

Gratzi. I do my best but I don't know if I succeed unless somebody tells me! :D

As for influencing characters: yea, in some of the other Bioware games you could have extreme influences on some of the NPCs. In the Baldur's gate game you could make a couple characters fall from grace with their gods even.

Morning everyone...hard to sleep with construction outside the bedroom window. Curse them!

I see a lot of people going back to reply Mass Effect 1 and I haven't touched it since ME2...perhaps I should go back too and get a new Tali-perspective.

See I just think of that as 'mischevious'.

I hear renegade and I think Tali kicking a guy in the knee to drop him down and placing the still hot barrel of his shotgun against his neck, telling him to give her the info they need before she turns his face inside out.

Tali IMO seems like a character that could be very renegade. Not evil, but end-justify-the-means type. But only if you influence her. I heard of older Bioware games (Jade Empire? Kotor? Not sure) that did this only on a far grander scale.

On the other side, Tali reaks of the mischevious type, obviously. It's in the story, dialogue and especially in Liz's voice acting. Playing ME1 over again, it's truly incredible.

you could influnce squatmates in both KOTOR and Jade Empire if you're unsure.

I would if I could. My PC really hates ME1, so I won't bother with that.

Luckily my PC loves it enough to let me play it without a CD (so I can have ME2 disk ready to go!)

I hope you were at least able to get your ME1 save into ME2 before your PC went evil...:(

I would absolutely love to influence squadmates LIs like that.
Either by turning them Paragon/Renegade, or simply by crushing their spirit.
ME1&2 implemented this to some extent, but it's hardly note-worthy. (Garrus in ME1, which is undone in ME2, and Jack in ME2)

I mean when on the Alarei, Para-Shepard may tell Tali that quarians should stop thinking about reclaiming the Rannoch, and not to throw her life away in a war she doesn't need. And to me, Tali's response to that is more or less on renegade side.
And in ME1, when talking about geth, Shepard can comment that he didn't feel sorry for quarians as they tried to pull off the genocide on geth.

Para-shep + rene-tali would create interesting conflicts between them two. Shep sees a sapient species and Tali just want to see them burn, no matter what.

Not so much wants to see them burn, she wants the homeworld and won't let anyone tell her otherwise, whether the geth are sapient or whether the quarians have the military power to take it or not, she wants Rannoch back just like the majority of quarians do.

I think it's also true that Tali still seems renegade when you choose renegade options on the Alarei. It's been awhile so I forget details, but neutral seemed the only way to go where she wasn't snappy. It was a...terrible mission for me emotionally, even worse than Tali.

Same here, hadn't played since before ME2 release. And now I got it on PC!  Plus all this talk online has given me the knowledge to make all the right choices. Metagaming ftw!

Tali and Wrex...such epicness. My respect for Liz only increases hearing her in ME1 again after "so long".

Indeed, I need to play JE and Kotor to experience this, it might make me a bit mad at Bioware for such failures in ME and DA:O, but it's the experience!

Yeah, the renegade options are what she wants to hear (you'll get your homeworld back, your dad loves you, etc.), the paragon options are the truth.
I say take the renegade options, she isn't going to turn into some war-mongering idiot like Han'Gerrel because you tell her she might be able to get the homeworld back and should want to, too. Those are just some words of comfort.
(Oh, but you should definitely pick the paragon option regarding the geth war at the trial, you don't actually want war, do you?)

Aside from that, Tali's a bit of a paragade, usually leaning towards the paragon side, but taking the occasional, and well-deserved renegade decision, just like my main Shep! ^_^

Well, there's the problem. I can't even start the damn thing up. Never worked in the first place, so I just downloaded a sh!tty save file from MES.com, and hoped that would work. But I'm sick of all the shenanigans, so I'm just going to play on the Xbox instead. Don't really care if I can take screenshots or not. They're highly overrated, if you ask me.

Besides, this would probably be then only place I'd show them. And for what, some laughters? Yeah, I can live without that.

Thought I'd throw this up here for interseted folks who missed the big drama conversations last night. The inked version  of my art trade with cannedcream for those interested.
No more updates until the job is done and I hope it will be a hit when
finished. I was very impressed with Cream's telling of events of "Borrowed Time"...I hope to match the hard work he put in with this (it will be colored etc. of course).

It is more important to ME to have your own shepard that YOU made.  Having a person stake in what happens makes playing all the sweeter...

Morning or evening to you aswell, Wolf warden. Have to say btw, I love how your Shepard looks like a canadian lumberjack.

Goat, yeah. Tali wants her homeworld back so badly. Not in the way "no-matter-the-cost", but more so that quarians suffers minimal losses while all the geth can be eradicated.

I know! Mostly Paragon, but you gots to go renegade when it permits. It's in our blood!

And yes, I had already planned on never hitting the paragon options. What idiot tells them to settle a new world? *gets hit in the face with a flying head of cabbage*

Peace and co-existence ftw! Until the geth get indoctrinated again or the mathematical formula tells them they should destroy some people/races :wizard:

@SWM, screenshots aren't just for lulz, they are simply awesome to look at just like fanart.

Yes, going back and hearing Tali say she will fight with fire for me and that she will die for me...*sniff* so worth it.  (Thats why my fanfic uses it!)  I'm strained when playing because I want to tell her what I (Shepard) thinks of her but I have to settle for giving her all the respect and support I can...and all the SPECTR grade weapons I can too!

But peace with the geth would also bring about minimal to zero casualties, and they'd get their homeworld. You'd have to kill Xen, and maybe the quarians coexist with the geth until like I said the geth feel threatened and go terminator again.

Nooooo.... Only Shepard can romance Tali. I'm sorry to say this, but David had his chance to have some quarian love taken away from him. :(

We've had this convo with Mass. If his computer is f*ckin with him, can't really blame him. I'll send him a PM to try an fix it.

HAVE to play every Shepard, I wouldn't take someone elses save file even if their character looked the same and made all the same dialogue choices and upgrades as me lol

I know, but that can make it fun! More roleplaying :P Sergio's FF opened my eyes a little. "Here's a new omni tool, Tali" then she's just...amazed that you'd give her anything :crying:
