Yeah it's obvious Kal and her have no previous or current relationship outside of professionalism. They probably never worked together till Haestrom. If for any reason Tali isn't with Shepard, someone's FF could easily right them two together.
That's why it's funny to joke about if he weren't voiced by Adam Baldwin I'd be like "man this is one annoying character". Truth.

That's why they got a bunch of big VA to play all the Admirals. You're supposed to like the characters even if you hate them. I would find all the Admirals boring or I just wouldn't like some like Xen. Instead I love Gerrel and love to hate Xen:devil:
