Those stripes on her skin actually match with my quarians-are-cathar theory.

Meh. I personally prefer to think Bioware is going to be a bit more original about their design than that.

They better show us AT LEAST what a generic quarian looks like...

Second this.

I mean... I could live with not knowing what Tali looks like, it's part of her mystique.

But I at least want to know what quarians look like in general. I think that'd be good middle ground between those who want to see her face and those who don't.

So, why exactly do you people like Tali again? Honest question.

It's a subjective issue. Everyone has different and similar reasons.

I'm guessing hips, romance and nothing else.

Now, back in the days when she wasn't an LI, people used to like her for her spunky attitude and mechanical skills, i.e that she served a role kind of like Kaylee Frye on Firefly. Sure, her hips was still a big part of it, but for some of us the entire idea of that was that she was forbidden fruit (a role now thankfully occupied by Samara), and to even see something reminiscent of romantic subtext you'd have to read between the lines.

Honestly, I was initially thrilled when Tali was an LI in ME2 and it was kind of nice, but in hindsight an LI is all she is right now - canonically, fanonically and in every other concievable way. Not only did she go from happy-go-lucky wrench wench polyanna to a clingy, emotional love interest - she lost her attitude along the way. And it's boring. Extremely so.

And the worst part is that these threads... the abominations, they will just help spur BioWare to YET AGAIN cave in to the fandom and make her a shallow love interest in ME3 with no other redeeming qualities. As far as I am concerned, you people destroyed Tali. I hope you are happy.

I'm sure they will. I have faith in Bioware.

Absolutely. I'm sure they have at least have a good idea behind what quarians look like.

They do know what quarians look like. They already confirmed that they settled on a design for the quarians shortly before ME2 released.

I liked her in ME1 because she reminded me of Mission, especially since my squad was always her and wrex

Agreed.

One of the reasons I started to like Tali in ME1 was because of her mask and the mystery. It wasn't the only reason, of course, but there was just something about it that really 'interested' me, for lack of a better word.

Same here! Just sipping some coffee and reading gaming news. I'm still shocked about Activision firing Jason West and Vince Zampella (two VIP's from Infinity Ward) and all that stuff. Trying to find whatever info I can on this case... I love IW and I don't wanna see them go down in flames... But hell, that's Activision's job! To destroy great developers! Watch your ass, BioWare... I'm not gonna watch you get destroyed by EA! :(

Cant say I see where she lost this spunk, to me she still seems like the exact same Tali from ME1.

Yeah, because none of us here like her for her abiltiy to hack through a geth prime's shields before blasting it apart with a shotgun, or that she's seen more character development than anyone else in the series aside from Garrus, or that her loyalty mission was the most emotional, or for her opinionated attitude and witty sense of humor.

I mean, there's just no way.

You are entitled to your opinion, but if you think that Tali's romance is shallow then you need to have your head examined.

As for the thread, we must maintain the visual and vocal majority to ensure Tali's presence in Mass Effect 3. This thread is the most direct means to that end.

Edit: Also, I was around when she wasn't a love interest. Nothing has changed. It was just fully realized.

If this is what they've changed the definition of 'destroy' to 'make more interesting, deep, and overall amazing' to than, yes. I'm very happy.

Sorry that you're upset with the changes, my friend, but you're not going to affect anyone's opinion here.

Hmm, I assume you have a very good reason, for they are a great company...(?)

COD4 was pure awesomeness, the MP kicked ass, but they f***ed the MP up with MW2, I gotta admit. It's BS. But I love the story mode, and Spec Ops is nice to play with a friend. When, exactly, did you lose your faith in them?

I personally liked her most for her exuberant personality. She was cheery and always eager to help, but she was never ditzy or naive. She could take care of herself. Someone who goes through hardship, can handle herself, and doesn't come out the other end as a ****? I like that.

What.

It's not like she's going anywhere unless you had her killed in the last mission. Unless, of course, by presence you mean "squad presence".

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand that's just opinion.

Allowing yourself to be swayed by masses on a subject only you can really judge for yourself is weak. You are disappointed that she has changed, that she has gone through -gasp- character developement. Her character is still consistent with the first game, she still makes dry quips, she still acts as a voice of reason, Tali still is loyal to her people, you just don't like the way she acts if you romance her. If it bothers you so, don't romance her.

Your opinion is still in the minority, you need to accept that. Most people do like Tali, "Talimancers" aside, even I joined the forums only recently. And by the way, my opinion says you are being condenscending.

This is getting off topic, but you really think the MP is messed up?  Sorry, but Wikipedia has already ruled on this:
"Modern Warfare 2 has received critical acclaim from professional reviewers, especially for its console versions. Review aggregator Metacritic holds the average review for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game at 94%, while the PC version is at 85%.[101] Positive reviews cite a "compelling story mode, a slick package of mini missions and a multiplayer which is pretty much unparalleled in depth."[112]Criticisms of the game are directed towards a variety of aspects, but focus on the short length of the single player campaign. IGN's Mark Bozon remarks that the single-player of "Modern Warfare 2 is surprisingly short, and doesn’t live up to the standard set by previous Call of Duty games."[108] In addition, many reviewers have complained about the lack of innovation to the formula of the series.[113][114][115]At the 2009 Spike Video Game AwardsModern Warfare 2 received the Best Shooter and Best Multiplayer awards. GameTrailers gave it six Game of the Year awards, including Overall Game of the Year.[116] The Pakistani game reviewing site, PakGamers, has awarded Modern Warfare 2 'Best Xbox 360 Game of 2009'.[117]Famitsu named Modern Warfare 2 as the number one game on the top 10 video games sold in 2009, beating games such as Metal Gear Solid 4Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and Grand Theft Auto IV.[118] It also gave the game a score of 39/40, being one of the few Western games released in Japan to have the same score as Grand Theft Auto IV.[119]"
