I saw an opportunity to write a short story and I took it, that's all. Don't really care about what happens to that slave broker.

Doesn't matter. Slavery is wrong. All who practice it will die. I will return to Illium with Garrus and Samara. We will rectify their indentured service laws.

Or the rest of the Terminus for that matter.
We view it as a travesty.

In a lot of countries, it's common practice. Even in America... the estimates for the number of slaves today is staggering...

Consider the batarians LEGALIZE it... and places like Omega... and it becomes apparent just how dark a place the Mass Effect universe is.

Eh, from the way they explained it it was pretty much a work contract. One your oblegated to finish. They have laws on how your to be treated, housed and fed. once the doubt is payed or her time is up the contract is void. I'm also sure they have laws in place as to what entities can buy said contracts. Also did they say contracts are only open on Illium and if they go off planet the contract is Void? Isn't that one of the point she make why Shepard can't buy her? That he had to have a perminate location on planet for her to work?

You think that woman is going to say no to a batarian when SI won't take the contract? If Shepard wasn't there... it could have ended VERY badly. I'm sure it often does.

I really do appreciate the offer, but I don't want to step on anybody's toes with a project that isn't very... Tali-related.
