A guy you could shoot the breeze with. He's the kind of person I wouldn't mine slamming down a few bears with while talking about that fine piece of ass down in engineering.

Seriously though. I always thought he was just a cool guy. Not special, not over the top, someone you could just chat with about politics, or about love lost.

The drugs was actually more important.  A lot of drug use going on in Lovecraft.  Usually leading to being devoured by eldritch horrors.

It's not all that good if your character's only unique trait can be taken away with two aspirin and a nap.

I actually have to agree, he was an ok character.  But when compared to a Garrus, or a Tali, he pales in comparison.  

Plus he was male, and he had feelings...
