Generally, when someone dares you to do something you percieve as idiotic, you don't do it.

"Hey, [Azint], I dare you to stick your hand into that hole in the wall!"

Pfft, foolish children and their foolhardy gambles of misguided bravery.

'Adolescence' and 'intelligence' rarely go hand in hand. Then one day you look back on your life and wonder how the hell you're not dead.

I still do some rather dubious or dangerous things just for the lulz. I am not entirely innocent of this.

Did you ever find out what it was?

Yeah.

Apparently it was some leftover wood or timber, all splintered and jazz. I guess it was just left behind when the property was abandoned. Must have gotten caught on a nail or a particularly sharp part.

Thankfully, I wasn't cut too bad. An infection from murky cellar water would have really sucked.

Not really, I'm already in the "Damn, that was fun, I wish I were that age again..." phase, I think I skipped the aforementioned...

Also, anything interesting happened with last night's "Shala is Tali's real mother" discussion?

Very few of us are.

Friend: Hey look! An old, abandoned barn! Let's go play in it!

Me: OKAY!

Ten minutes later I lift up my foot to discover that a board is now attached to it. By a nail. That would have gone through my foot if I hadn't been wearing thick shoes.

I had a special kind of childhood. . .
Again I wonder how I'm not dead.

TTTX suggested Rael had an affair with Shala at one point, from which Tali was born.

Then the speculation began...
Tali's "fake" mother was infertile, and already "married" (or the quarian equivalent of that), so she decided to stay with Rael and pretend Tali was her own, for both their reputation's sake.
In order to keep Shala quiet, Rael forwarded her position as an admiral.
Shala was essentially the mother figure for Tali for all those years, and it would explain why she had such a long "friendship" with Tali's "family" that spanned across different ships.

Yah.

Okay. This is the one and only time I will ever say this in my internet career.

That's what happens when you talk crazy talk.

I'm still here.

Working on my upcoming project.

Progress is slow, but still in conception.

Thank you for the support.

Just fleshing out how she meets the person in question.

Debating if they met before he saves her from C-Sec.

Dramatic stuff.

Her suit as well. Not sure if she should stick with the black motiff until after her Pilgrimage.

Ehhh... I don't know about C-Sec... been done before.

Why not some miners who just lost their jobs to the Fleet or something? Change things up.

The only reason I went to C-Sec was because I had her placed on the Citadel as a spot to begin her Pilgrimage.

But something more remote might fit the theme better.

Xen is a loner by nature. When I think of her on pilgrimage, I get the vision of an environment suit draped in an old, tattered hood and cloak. A wall between her and the world, thicker than the average quarian armor.

That's just me though.

Wait, this is still about Xen, right?
And it's about her pilgrimmage?
I like, I like. (Heck, I freaking love it)

Now, I'll stop bothering you and get back to work. K S'L all.

True.

She takes to that role rather well. It is only appropriate that her appearance should reflect that.

I'm trying to play her mannerisms as less cold and distant and more sarcastic and dry, while still maintaining that pride in her people and their achievements. With the obvious fascination with technology, of course.

Crap, I can't leave, might as well answer the question, it's from Kopps, a Swedish movie.
And you shouldn't really bother with the rest, this is the only funny part, to be honest.

Now, I'll give leaving one more shot... OFF I GOOOOOO!

Right. She's certainly less bitter. Smarmy, but not apathetic and iced over yet. However, this is a person that probably didn't have many friends growing up. That's coming from a person where everyone is family. There's a wall there, and right now it's a fence. She's going to let someone in, he's going to burn down the house, and then she's putting up steel barracades with automated machine turrets. She's fresh on the pilgrimage, she's new, the world is so big and so open, and she has the chance to meet new people who don't know anything about her yet, who aren't going to shun her all the time.

She's in for a rude awakening. Good to keep that all in perspective. I'm coninually impressed by your improvement Jones.
