Actually, I think back on Ash and this isnt exactly out of her personality. She had always been a human extremist and disapproved of aliens allowd being on the normandy in the first place. I had completely forgotten about these things till just now and well, it doenst seem so random as it use to have been. Maybe she was looking at  the aliens behind shepard thinking "wtf are those guys doing there again, im not gonna go through with more aliens again".

Could be a reason, but not the big one as I had Miranda and Jacob with me the first time.

Ash/Kaiden calling Shepard out was poor judgement on their part, I do agree on that. But many do not realize that they have no idea what is going on, all they know is Shepard is alive and is associated with a reputed terrorist group who just happen to be interested in isolated colonies, colonies that are disappearing. They are very confused and turn to the only ones they feel are actually trying to help, the Alliance. If you talk to Anderson after Horizon, he does reveal that they even tried defending you upon completion of their reports of Horizon.

I know that. What pisses me off is that they don't even let him really explain. And Garrus and Tali both trust you fully with even less to go on.

Cant say ive ever used jacob in a group except when he was forced at the start of the game. But yes I do see your points there, I had missed that part based off personal preferance.

And that's why they are the fan-favorites, unconditional loyalty. Aside from gaining 'Loyalty.'

Plus they both appeal to me more than Ash/Kaiden, Miranda/Jacob.

Their reasons are sound and I would be more surprised if they wern't suspicious of working with such a group, but the thing I think a lot of people are upset with (at least, I know I was) was the compete lack of trust. After everyone Shepard has done they seem to not even want to hear his sound of the story. Hell, they don't even try to help you from outside of Cerberus. I'm just saying that it feels like you're being abandoned by an old friend or love, is all.

This kinda highlights why I don't like the term "loyalty" in the way the game uses it.  I think "resolve" or "resolution" might be a better term.

Truth. Seems kind of redundant on Garrus' and especially Tali's side.

I have to admit, completing Horizon left me bitter at them, then a bit later I noticed something interesting on the Galaxy Map;

Recruit Tali

Then all was well again.

I agree, but 'loyalty' sounds better on it's own and works well enough for the situation, I think.

Indeed. Words cannot describe how fast I was at Haestrom.

Heck, it barely makes sense for Grunt.  I mean, he's completely bought into Shep as his battlemaster right after recruitment (he tells Garm this if you take him to recruit Garrus).  He's just got some adolescent issues to work out before he's resolved.

This.

It's good to know that Tali and Garrus always have, and always will have Shepard's back. Wrex too.

I'm happy with that.

Quite lamely at the moment. Just sitting here and posting and reading gaming news. Watched Body Of Lies last night. I liked it. Not anything groundbreaking, but an interesting and intense movie. Ridley Scott + Russell Crowe = one of the best pairs in the world, and add DiCaprio in there and you have a great team. And Mark Strong did a FRICKIN' awesome job too. I loved his role.

K enough about movies more Tali..! :innocent:
