I read CC's "Borrowed Time" and it got me thinking of something. What is the real reason why the SR-2 Normandy can't land on planets? The only answer I got from wiki is because it's simply too big, but I want a more technical explanation, because size didn't stop Sovereign or the Collector ship from landing on planets.
The bigger an object is, the larger the element zero core needed for it to take off from landing. Soverign could do it becauase it had a super core...SR2 has a very large core but it (likely) is just too big to do it unless its a low gravity world. SR1 could do it because it was about half the size...I bet eezo core size needed is on a non-linear scale in terms of ship size to eezo core needed
