Their reasons are sound and I would be more surprised if they wern't suspicious of working with such a group, but the thing I think a lot of people are upset with (at least, I know I was) was the compete lack of trust. After everyone Shepard has done they seem to not even want to hear his sound of the story. Hell, they don't even try to help you from outside of Cerberus. I'm just saying that it feels like you're being abandoned by an old friend or love, is all.

I have to admit, completing Horizon left me bitter at them, then a bit later I noticed something interesting on the Galaxy Map;

Recruit Tali

Then all was well again.

The recruit tali popping up only gives that high once, Horizon stings every time... It takes till the you say "tali saved your asses" remark shepard can say to the admirals that always makes me smile.

Indeed. Words cannot describe how fast I was at Haestrom.

This.

It's good to know that Tali and Garrus always have, and always will have Shepard's back. Wrex too.

I'm happy with that.

They're family. The closest thing Shepard has to a family.

Same. Garrus, Tali and Wrex were always my favourite characters in ME1 anyway. :D Used them all the time.

They are all obviously loyal to some extent to even join Shepard on a suicide mission, I guess the term is used in-game to mean that this character will die for you.

And that's why they are the fan-favorites, unconditional loyalty. Aside from gaining 'Loyalty.'

Plus they both appeal to me more than Ash/Kaiden, Miranda/Jacob.

This kinda highlights why I don't like the term "loyalty" in the way the game uses it.  I think "resolve" or "resolution" might be a better term.

I agree, you'd think they would already be loyal, especially if you helped Garrus with Dr. Saleon, and helped Tali by giving her the geth data.

Which is kinda funny, since it actually makes them less likely to die for you...

I guess I'd. . .go outside or read a book or. . .something.

I've said it once, I'll say it again.

I will walk into Bioware HQ and punch every person I see in the teeth.

Watch. It'll be on the news.

I actually did Jacob and Jack's loyatly mission before I recruited Tali. My first game, I hardly read the journal, and the Galaxy Map was so cluttered, I did not really read the descriptions floating over the systems. Once I saw this, I jumped right off of Illium and dove into Haestrom.

They flat out tell Shepard that they think Cerberus is working with the Collectors and that they're using Shepard by tricking him into thinking the Collectors actually work for the Reapers.

And the Alliance is absolutely no better, Cerberus was even PART of the Alliance for a time, and they still could be for all you know. Many in the Alliance's Industrial Naval Complex FUND Cerberus.

And besides, they don't have to trust Cerberus, NOBODY trusts them , not even Jacob, who works for them, but they didn't even give Shepard the benefit of the doubt, despite EVERYTHING he's done, What more could be asked of him?

They don't personally blame Shepard for the abductions.  If they blame Cerberus that is not the same as blaming Shepard, who is just being 'used' by Cerberus as you state.

If your friend/lover came back from the dead and was working for a known terrorist organization, how would you feel?
