As to the story itself, I think you were with CannedCream in the group of "ragequitting after Chapter One".  I find it funny that everyone has a problem with that first Chapter, but they say nothing of when I killed off Liara!

On their BLOG, they have some pictures of the Tali hood and feet.

Looks awesome so far.  But the helmet will have to be spot on.  I'm interested to see how they do it.

Well, that's character likes/dislikes for ya.

And I think some people should just suck it up, and continues to read, because even if it's not what they want it to be at the moment, it can be help the situation to be more touching at a later point.

Well, it'll take a bit of doing.  Chugging out the draft piece by piece right now.  Then I have to go back and revise to get it in the style I want.  Nail the descriptions, the POV...I've fallen in love with deep character POV, and I want the narrative to totally reflect Tali's reactions and speaking pattern.

I rather like the character I made up for it, though.  I was pursuing that stuff about Shepard and Tali's adopted daughter and thought, "hmmmm, this guy would make a good bodyguard for her".

Before I started posting in the thread, I lurked on few thousands pages to get to know the inside jokes. And I'm honestly puzzled, that people keep giving you flakk about those drilled shins, even with that chapter one. Guess some people just like to drill those holes for more.

About Liara, well. My heart died in the chapter one, so no more symphaty. Also, you didn't describe Liara's demise so detailed as you did with Tali, Liara was like, tossed in the dumbster, literally. And the evil villains (crap, forgot the name, and too lazy to check) plan left me afraid for Tali's sake, and with all the afterlife thing too.
Okay, the main thing was that you killed Liara in, what, one or two lines. When compared to Tali, which this thread loves, by the way, I'm not surprised.

As to Liara, I think you nailed it on the head.  Why didn't I see it?  An interrogation followed by an alluded, but not heavily explored, torture is easily overshadowed by Tali's immediate death.  (In a dark alley.  Alone. )

Alright, where was I? Right, Quarian merc and the warlord.

Goddamn that was a good fight.

Right, anyway I picked this mission up about five years after the Illium fiasco. Krogan warlord pissed off Aria T’loak herself, think it had something to do with him attempting to bomb her club I don’t know. Not too often you get someone like her as clientele; they usually have a their own outfit for that sort of work. Turned out Aria had already sent in some of her own men and the warlord decimated them and sent back their heads as a warning, now she was hiring me to finish him off.

So I take the mission and only after I agree to hunt him down does she tell me I’m not the only one gunning for this guy. She’s got about three other guys going after him too.

Lucky me.

Heh, I think that guide would get quite the number of approvals. 

But about Liara's death, I think it was also fitting. Shepard did discard and leave her behind. Her disposal being like that was like a final insult.
Also all the drama and the horror did build up with the quarian's master plan of wickedness.

I always thought that the communal upbringing of the Quarian people would naturally produce a total crazy.  Harlan'Con is that crazy.
