Not saying it isn't.  But I've already been gushing over ME for a couple of days now (been playing ME2 for the first time) and I don't need to be depressed.

Besides, kind of wish David got that revenge!  That is the point where my fic differs.

Alright, where was I? Right, Quarian merc and the warlord.

Goddamn that was a good fight.

Right, anyway I picked this mission up about five years after the Illium fiasco. Krogan warlord pissed off Aria T’loak herself, think it had something to do with him attempting to bomb her club I don’t know. Not too often you get someone like her as clientele; they usually have a their own outfit for that sort of work. Turned out Aria had already sent in some of her own men and the warlord decimated them and sent back their heads as a warning, now she was hiring me to finish him off.

So I take the mission and only after I agree to hunt him down does she tell me I’m not the only one gunning for this guy. She’s got about three other guys going after him too.

Lucky me.

So I get a shuttle off Omega and make my way to the planet. Entire place is covered in thick jungle. Like Zorya but worse. Any I do some recon in the shuttle. flying about looking for a good place to land, when this seeker missile comes outta f*cking nowhere and crashes the thing. Damn near killed me right on the spot. So as I’m going down in flames I open up the hatch and jump hoping for the best.

I land on my back just as the shuttle smacks right into a tree and blows the hell up, taking the supplies I’d brought with me with it. I tried to salvage some of it from the wreck but the most I found was a water canister and some extra thermal clips. I hadn’t even been on the mission for five minutes and things were already going straight to hell. Nothing to do about it now though, before I went down scanner picked up a small camp to the north, might be my warlord or one of the other mercs. Either way it was someone I’d probably have to kill.

I start trudging my way through the mud and grime making sure to smear some on my armor, and make me harder to detect. By the time night falls I see a small fire burning at the camp’s center. I crouch and switch my mask’s lens’s to night vison see what I can pick up. I’m not three feet away from the main tent, a combination of massive leaves and sticks made into a shelter, when I hear I thud right behind me. I try to turn with Jesse ready to fire, and I get a knife pressed hard against my throat by whoever it was who snuck up on me.

“Nice try Bosh’tet.”

Oh goddamn it. Not her.

Your sketches look very good, especially when looking them in a bigger size.

Man, I'd read more of this stuff but you guys are like, "Hey, let's make readers feel MISERABLE. This will incite trust."
