As for the Na'vi, I don't see any definitive resemblance.
How come Avatar has already become an established point of reference? It's not a cinematic original; it's a spectacular re-hash.

Without the tail and the legs this is a almost human appearance and both ( tail and legs ) are totally wrong. While the tail is self-evident the legs can't have a additional joint if you look at any ingame-screenshots.

I'm well aware of the differences, I was merely attempting to suggest something which, in overall characteristics, I find more plausible than the most common depictions of demasked/desuited Quarians.

I see your points and i didn't say i dislike the picture, but if you go past those 2 main differences, it looks almost humanly shaped, which is in coincidence with all we can tell from the game. Also i'm not a fan of most of those "common depictions of demasked/desuited quarians". Eventually and if BW is willing to show us, we'll see what quarians are looking alike. Until then i don't build up any expectations, but i have trust in BW to not putting us down.
