He's the one responsible for letting Cerberus into the Idenna.

He made the torturing of Hilo'Jaa vas idenna possible, and he's responsible for the death of many quarians on the Idenna. And he tried to sell two dozen quarians that have never left the Fleet on a Pilgrimage or been contaminated to the Collectors. That's more than enough reasons for someone to put a bullet in his head.

And that's not all he did or tired to do.

A little teaser for a fic I'm working on.  A "Shepard's perspective," if you will.  The teaser doesn't have anything Tali-related, but the fic will, when I'm done.

I have seen death. I have dealt it many times, and faced it as many times again. I have seen comrades blown apart in front of my eyes, been sprayed by the blood of friends, held the hand of scared kids who only wanted to go home to their mothers, their lovers, the lives they left to die on some god-forsaken killing field. I tell myself that they've died for a reason, for a cause. To keep safe those we leave behind. To protect those who cannot protect themselves. But even in my own ears, the reasons sound hollow, empty. On Earth, in the gangs of my youth, people died for a crust of bread, or for a patch of ground barely worth ****ting on, much less living on. On Elysium, men and women died for other men's greed, because of slavers and pirates and scum who lived off the misery of others. There is no honor in death. There is only the iron tang of blood on the air, the odor of charred and broken flesh, the stench as bowels and bladders loose in death. We try to find meaning in death, because our minds cannot accept that there is no meaning, no way to justify it.
