Yeah, but a showdown could be in any number of ways. A mission, just ONE combat, a rather difficult to win dialogue...a cinematic with varying results due to game actions...

Like when I have to answer TIM's calls, so he can send me to another trap. Why can't EDI put him on hold or something so I can do some other things, so I can be ready for his crappy assignments?

I really hate when a mission is forced on me and I'm not prepared for it.

True, but I felt the focus of the story was on what the two OCs had before being separated, rather on the death itself. Granted, it was horrific, but it was necessary to establish the plot.

...now I just hope someone sets the poor guy up with Lia'Vael.

That's why I love the story. It's less about the act itself, and my about who it's happening to, and why.
