Shen Imprinting on Daro... but her not doing the same... interesting... social awkwardness not allowing for it to fully mature before pilgrimage... then the future... and... hmmm... requires discussion.

Indeed, the straps make you work for the worthy prize underneath. 

They also make excellent places to attach restraints, and also work well as grips for... leverage.
